dominoes is over prices and over rated anyway
their pizza's aren't exactly top quality and it costs a fortune
the one redeeming feature were though hotdogs wrapped in dough ball, which they don't even sell anymore
As you may already be aware, I recently purchased both a Domino's and a local place's pizza, and a lot of them. While I agree Domino's was the most costly, I'd say the quality of it was superiour to the local place's. Whether that difference in quality was worth the difference in price I cannot say. In terms of quantity, the local place far outstripped Domino's because fucking hell that was a lot of pizza. Edible pizza too. I was dreading the possibility that the local place would be cardboard arse and gristle but it wasn't bad.
I don't suppose anyone knows who to speak to about mortgages. Should I just go to banks and speak to them?
Any recommendations/people to avoid?
I have no idea what I'm doing and it's all a bit scary. Looking forward to paying slightly more than my rent while actually getting something I return.

Depends on your local branches tbh. You can find independent advisors but I'd start with whoever you currently bank with.
You not get a blowie?

But don't those new-age life gurus say "try anything once"?
I just received a message from a girl on facebook asking for help with PayPal. I've never spoken to her in the 8 or whatever years I've had her added. Seemed dodgy, anyone seen anything like this?
Sounds dodgy but could just be a knob attempting to find someone good at compooters
Check any links they send, try asking off-topic questions
I politely declined saying it was a strange message to receive. I haven't seen the girl in probably 10 years and the only communication I've had with her since is accepting a friend request. She might have been genuinely after help, but I'm sure she can find someone else (whose probably thirstier) among her 800 friends.
Besides, I don't really know anything about PayPal it just has my debit card linked to it

There's a scam that's gone on for a while where you get money sent to your paypal account that you then send to another account, then the first person in the chain chargebacks the payment to you. It's usually used by shady people to launder money. Wouldn't trust them personally if they ask for anything to do with your paypal account.

how similar was it to those anime steam games where 90% of the game is coincidentally seeing someone almost nude
Labour and the Lib Dems both say they won't work with each other, so what happens if we get a hung Parliament this year? Are we just going to end up with a minority Tory Government or something?
[editline]19th May 2017[/editline]
I guess there's the SNP but both Labour and the Lib Dems want to keep Scotland in the UK.

:v:
A hung parliament would require Labour to actually win seats from the Conservatives...
Why would Conservative voters vote for a party whose supporters brand them 'Tory scum'?
(On a serious note, Labour and the Lib Dems would probably go into coalition together - the main reason they say they wouldn't work together is because they want to neutralise the 'coalition of chaos' line)

Eh the tory manifesto hurts everyone who isn't rich and middle aged, so they might actually have fucked up.

So... their policy hurts everyone except those that vote then?
Because there's your answer.

Well the point is they hurt retired people.

Are you talking about the winter fuel payment thing?
Taking the winter fuel payment away from wealthy pensioners isn't a bad thing. They can support themselves as it is, and forcefully throwing money at them (some have had to give it to charity because they can afford energy on their own) isn't going to help anyone.
Benefits should be given to the people who really need them - not just because you're old. Adding means-testing so that you have to be in fuel poverty before getting it should've been how it was in the first place.

There's stuff about care for the elderly where iirc when they die the proceeds from their house have to be used to pay for the care they received or something like that. Basically if they have assets the value of those are counted in how much they're expected to contribute but they can defer payment until death.
I've been living in Estonia for a year and a half now. Here is a list of things you shouldn't take for granted living in the UK.
Fish & Chips
Yorkshire Puddings
Sage & Onion Stuffing
Wetherspoons
Pub Culture
Basic Manners (You can hold the door open for 1000 people and only 1 person would say thank you, and they would be from the UK)
Health Care (Many old soviet doctors still working, my gf's grandmother went to see her GP for arthritis in her knees, was told to put cabbage leaves on them for an hour a day.)
Friendly, open conversation (people get terrified if you speak to them and you don't know them, buses and trains are like graveyards.)
I miss home so much, but alas I'm stuck here for at least a few months longer.
