how can I rock this all black wardrobe if it's 28 degrees
Winter garms > summer garms
Most of my stuff is winter clothing, I always forget to buy for the summer.
Been playing some late night games and I was forced to choose between the heat from my PC adding to the already stupid heat or opening a window and having 700 moths fly in. I thought I could handle the heat and just leave the door open but now I am paying for it. The thermometer in my room says 28C. The highest temp in my region today at midday was 26 :suicide:
Left the bedroom window open to let some air in earlier in the day, few hours later the other half is screaming for me to get in the room quickly.
I rush in and straight away my eye is imediately drawn to this "Big Fuck Off" Spider sitting on the wall the size of my hand just above the headboard. Fucking bastard had sensed a weakness in the perimeter defense and seized it's opportunity to move in.
In my heroic and attempt to reclaim the bedroom with the tried and tested bowl and cardboard I accidentally knocked the damn thing out of sight behind the bed and in the time it took for me to get eyes on it again the damn thing has vanished.
For the best part of an hour I tried to find Shelob but that fucker has gone into stealth mode and I conceeded defeat. I may have lost the bedroom for this night but this war is not over.
Anyway there is a point to this story, put nets up over any open windows. or pay the price and lose your home to the timeless enemy (and flies) we normally do but unfortunatly I forgot .
If recommend y'all save some money up over summer and buy an air-conditioning unit on eBay when the season ends and people are getting rid of theirs.
Nothing like coming back to an icy bedroom after work 👌
It's bullshit, that I have to go to work in trousers and closed shoes whilst all the women at work are wearing skirts, dresses and open shoes.
(I work in a primary school - not sure why I think that makes a difference, but I'm not in a fucking office with a strict suit and tie dress code).
Alright lads it's fucking roasting outside and I'm a tight fuck scot so I present to you my terrible solution:

If you guys have a fan, you can make a ghetto air conditioner by putting water in a litre bottle, freezing it and placing it behind the fan.

will it work with a 120mm fan?
I appreciate your recent donations guys. You've all been superb.

My friend needs to hit £150 by the end of next week for his cycling jersey. If you have any to spare that you won't need, it would be amazing if you could donate some to my friend (Darian).
Buy a second hand standalone air conditioner, less than £100 if you shop around and well worth it. My room is lovely right now.
Oh you guys are also going through a retarded heatwave?
It's fucking ridiculous here too.

Yeah, it's nice if you're not doing anything but it's horrible to be at work in.
I walked past some bloke earlier who said something along the lines of "typical England, you have 5 holidays a year for other countries, but none for ourselves"
what did he mean by this?

Make sure you properly seal your window or wherever you are exhausting it from.
I just used poly sheet and tape :v:

Thanks for the tip - it's really awkward because it's one of those side hinging windows so I need to seal the vertical (which is fine - just some straight cardboard with a hole for the vent will do) and the two horizontal triangular bits from the hinge to the edge of the window. Fortunately I have lots of cardboard sitting around :v:
Too hot, too humid, my and my BF are big manly men sharing a single room with two hot PCs, send help, its so hot.
The heat in my car has become too much for my friends and I, now forking out £60 to get my AC recharged so I can rejoin society

£60 are you having a laugh? Is your AC actually designed to cool a building?
[editline]20th June 2017[/editline]
Even Halfords do it for £30 but you can buy the gas and do it yourself for even less

Haha, well I'm doing it myself, or rather will be attempting to. I'm buying the canister and trigger which come to £60
Ive never regassed air con on my car. it still seems to work
[editline]21st June 2017[/editline]
I took my missus car to get its airbag changed (takata recall), they did that and had a quick check over and said rear tyres needed changing. Toyota wanted more than £100 per tyre, I nearly fell off the chair. It's only a little Corolla. I got a pair of new tyres for £85 elsewhere.
[editline]21st June 2017[/editline]
Oh and after changing my exhaust last week. Hers started blowing and rattling on some backroad 30 miles from home. I had a look and a poke and it was basically falling off.

Found out yesterday I got a job for Second Line IT at a lawfirm yesterday, was thrilled, an hour later got news that my landlord needs to gain access to my room...which I've smoked in...which I believe it goes against my tenency agreement (though I don't believe it mentions that I cannot smoke in the room). So I need to get rid of this smoke smell like, fast, he'll only be in for like 10 - 20 minutes so hopefully I can do something to temp mask it. I dunno.
Is anyone else getting absolutely fucked by hay fever right now? It doesn't help I live in a city where it's apparently worse. I hate it so much, you're literally allergic to the nicest time of the year
