A few years ago at the Tesco I worked at someone had done that, but with a digger. I came into work and was greeted by police tape and a massive gaping hole in the wall where a cash machine had been, there was rubble everywhere. If they'd gone through the wall behind the cash machine they would've hit the cash office. The digger had been abandoned in the field behind the car park http://m.essexlive.news/raiders-use-digger-steal-cashpoint-chelmsford/story-13334309-detail/story.html
I'm from Chelmsford how did I not hear about this lol.

Often student landlords can be accomodating, and wait until SF is paid. Alternatively, some universities also offer short-term loans in cases like yours.
They closed fabric :'(
They closed fabric :'(
Everyone on Twitter and Facebook are like "OH NO! How could they do such a thing?!" Yet, this is the first time I've ever heard of the place. Can someone fill me in or is this a case of everyone jumping on the bandwagon?
Everyone on Twitter and Facebook are like "OH NO! How could they do such a thing?!" Yet, this is the first time I've ever heard of the place. Can someone fill me in or is this a case of everyone jumping on the bandwagon?
It was a very popular EDM Nightclub in London. Some people died after taking drugs there, so the council shut it down. Even though Fabric has very strict regulations on what people can bring in, and even search them. Council are blaming the owners for not stopping people from entering with drugs.
Calling it an EDM club is doing it a disservice, the line ups were always sick. Proper dance music. Always a welcoming crowd, never any aggro. Always a diverse crowd. Never felt uncomfortable in there. I don't think I'd never left the place before 6. When I went when Rashad had died and was booked to play was emotional
Fabric was more than just a generic club, it was regularly in discussion for best club in the world and one of the few surviving "proper" rave clubs still around. It was also pretty directly responsible for keeping underground electronic alive in the UK. It was one of the pioneering clubs worldwide, but especially for the UK and London. There's also extra uproar over a few things. (Stealing quotes from the SH thread)
The really fucking dumb thing, is that Fabric's search and seize policy was developed with the police, and the police used Fabric as an example of good policy for other clubs.

Given this drug seizure programme was apparently developed in conjunction with the police, it is all the more shocking to discover that the logs of these confiscated drugs are now to be used as evidence against Fabric at the licensing committee
http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/carl-loben/why-fabric-must-be-saved_b_11865442.html
fucking lol

Exclusive: New documents obtained through a Freedom Of Information request suggest Fabric closure was a long term plan orchestrated by a hard-up council, with the police as pawns and drug legislation as a constant, convenient excuse. In fact, the original undercover police report itself also reported that “the general atmosphere of the club was friendly and non-threatening” and that “there was a diverse demographic in regards to race, [with people speaking] French, Italian and Chinese”. These findings did not make it into the Islington statement.
I know it's a long shot, but does anyone work or live in Worthing? Been thinking about applying for a job there.
Live an hour away. Brother works and lives there as well as a couple of friends Like any other seaside southern town really, its a pretty decent commuter town to brighton
I know it's a long shot, but does anyone work or live in Worthing? Been thinking about applying for a job there.
Really great if youre an old person
Well I feel old, does that count? I can't keep working at my current job it's soul crushing. Of course the job at Worthing is less stressful but less money. I'm gonna apply anyway, hopefully I'll get an interview and make a day out of it.
Really great if youre an old person
basically east sussex though although brighton is an exception, its great if your basically a modern hippy / bearded hipster
Which unis are you going to lads, just about to start my 3rd year here
big up pompy, all though I've already been here for 3 years and I start my masters in a couple of weeks
finished my last day at work today My manager and the butchers have been implying they'll do something to me at the end of the day, I walked out the cash office and out the door and looked around while everyone had their phone out looking at me, then all of a sudden my manager just pours a huge bag of flour over my head gonna miss these dudes
Oh, I thought you had a cocaine blowout to celebrate at first.
Oh, I thought you had a cocaine blowout to celebrate at first.
it was ~flour~ ;)
So you fixed your accommodation? I have a mate who should also be at Stoke who actually doesn't have accommodation, but I hope you've got it sorted out.
the accommodation is fine, it was just student finance that has been fucking me but it's all sorted now. it seems a few people couldn't get accommodation but they guaranteed it to people like me (degenerates who have foundation year courses)
Yeah my accommodation is fucking me off a little, they needed a photo of me as well as a signed document which they forgot to send to me until yesterday, so I filled it out and took a picture of myself, they were fine with the picture but said the document can just be a "picture of the signed document" so I sent them a photo from my phone with the signatures but they haven't replied hoping that its just because they are closed on weekends. Also registration is looking like a a pain in the ass, gotta fill out a huge registration form online for my uni, using stuff like term accommodation addresses and stuff which I haven't even received yet
I think for every house I just showed up signed something and paid a deposit probably sketchy but they never fucked us about so I can't argue
