An Edinburgh one.
[sp]scandalous plug since I'm from Edinburgh[/sp]
foreigners ask me to say things because it sounds cool in scottish (edinburgh) accent but then i tell them that there's also the stirling accent, the glasgow accent, the doric one, etc and they don't have a bloody clue what i'm on about
I like the Highland accents, pretty musical.
I like Welsh accents too.

I've had tourists look at me funny because I don't say "aye" and "ken" in a sentence etc and when I tell them I was born and raised in Edinburgh (after they ask where I'm from) they just look...confused as if because I'm Scottish, I should be saying Ayes and Kens like you would in Stirling or Glasgow.
It was funny initially but now it's just annoying.
I must've picked up some Dundonian since I got here in 2009. I moved back home to the Borders for a year after Uni and I couldn't even travel 5 miles to Berwick without people reaching for their pitchforks asking "Where are you from, that's not a local accent!". Choocter bampots.
What do people consider the worst UK accent?
[sp]and why is it Scouse?[/sp]
Are you serious?? Even if you thought his post was malicious that wasn't what he meant... You either must be a troll or a headcase
You're mistaking meaning with intent. You can say horrible things without intending to be malicious. It doesn't change the fact it's rude.

It's vile
I'm gonna have to shamelessly self plug Yorkshire for best here. Don't mind a well crafted brum though, maybe geordie.

man it's fucking nasty AF, remember going to see Billy Elliot and hating it because all I could concentrate on was that fucking accent.
On the whole worst accent is either scouse or this:
what is the greatest british accent
I like girls with Welsh accents
I like girls with Welsh accents
sorry but girls with Scottish accents are better
North-Northumbrian is pretty hideous, it's Stealth Geordie, they'll sound mostly normal for a bit and then they'll get to a word Geordie's can't pronounce like Beard or Weird, and it's like they just glassed your ears with a bottle of Brown Ale.
what is the greatest british accent
cooking mama's engrish
posh edinburgh confirmed
You know it! [sp]I wish :'([/sp]
When I used to play competitive TF2 (Highlander and all that) - I was almost always (jokingly) called David Tennant when I was on the mic because I sounded a bit like him (always funny when I'd hear "Tennant push the point!")
I spent 2 years going to Falkirk for college and one of the guys I knew there started to talk like someone from Edinburgh after a while (he couldn't control it). It was pretty funny.

:worried:
A lot of people consider Wolverhampton/Brum accent the worst, but being from wolvo myself I have a soft spot for it
I personally hate the manc accent, especially if it's attached to some gorming mod-haircut-having mong
I don't really dislike any British accents that I can think of, most of em have their charms
But I think we can all agree Australians worst accent of any English speakers
I suppose the real question is;
What is the correct pronunciation for bath?
correct pronunciation
Well, you see...
I'm pretty sure that Lancashire has the best accent.
Scouse is the worst.

flat a
any other way you're a pagan
found out there was an 'acid' attack in my town on monday by a gang of youths
really appalled. i know my town is hardly the ritziest of the ritz but we don't have much in the way of serious violent crime here. i hope this isn't going to be the new happy slapping
The acid attack thing scares the shit out of me. It's such a disgusting thing to do someone, lowest of the low shit, it goes beyond violent crime, stabbings etc. It's way, way beyond happy slapping which is almost innocent in comparison
It's an attack that purposely doesn't directly endanger someone, rather it's an attack on the rest of their lives. I find it heart breaking, especially when it's done to a woman.
I'd rather be stabbed, I really hope they start giving harsher sentences for it

bath with a short "a"

This is starting to happen up in Scotland as well.
I don't even understand the motive; a lot of the time it's not even used as part of a mugging and people get attacked 'just because'
