They're all individually vacuum packed. I can't imagine they'd go off after being in storage, then shipped, stored again and in the back of corner shop stock rooms for ages, only to last no more than a few days once they go over the counter into your hands. I'd had fewer packets sealed up for 6 months once and they're still fresh af once opened. Worst case is I'll sell them to a few mates who do smoke regularly. I'm sure people wouldn't mind slightly stale Marlboro Gold's for £3 a pack. :v:
You could sell the dockers for that much round here
a social smoker who has gone through a pack and a half the past couple of months, but buys £200 worth of cigs just to social smoke is pretty bizarro. you'll be smoking stale packs of cigs all the time, how is that even enjoyable?
Marlboro is the worst by far for stale fags anyway, you pay over the odds for the Reds and 9/10 times they're shite.

Amber Leaf is shite though, and half the time it's dry when you open it. Golden V tastes shite. Cutter's Choice is where it's at. Hits a good point between price and quality

Sometimes it's [del]a couple of[/del] 5-6 drinks with work or mates which garners 3-5 fags depending on how I feel. Other nights on the piss I'll carry two packs (usually one half finished) and I'll finish both of them myself in one night (hoarse is an understatement the next morning though). One packet lasts me 3 weeks on average but that includes weeks where one lasts a long time and others where it doesn't last a night. For the record I pay for golds because they're less harsh on the throat compared to cheaper variants and even when they do go stale they don't have the feeling that other brands do where you can actually feel the cancer work its magic. I would do baccy but as you say, it's duff within a week once opened. Straights tend to last longer to me. That 10 pack ban thing is bullshit though, along with the menthol one that's right around the corner.
Today's been fucking great, I got something super awkward to work on my summer placement, my boss told me that they're super happy with the way I've been working and their boss said something (not sure how serious) about taking me on full time and I booked a holiday with my best mate. [sp]I just finished first year so it would be silly to not get my degree but it's a massive confidence boost[/sp]
that's awesome, if you enjoyed working at that place, keep doing internships there if you want. that way, when you graduate at the end of your degree, you've got hella good rapport with that business and would most likely be offered a job right off the bat. had a chem eng friend of mine who kept interning at AkzoNobel during summer, he's graduated now but they were so happy with him they offered him a job right out of uni.
Cutter's Choice is where it's at.
Ahahahahah What's next, someone's gonna come along saying sterling is the bee's knees, have a day off
Ahahahahah What's next, someone's gonna come along saying sterling is the bee's knees, have a day off
What's a better one then? Amber Leaf is wank and dry, Golden Virginia tastes horrible and has a slight pissy smell, Drum is acceptable but is really pungent and dries out quickly. Then you've got the additive free ones like American Spirit and some of those are nice but again get mad dry. And as it happens I'd rather smoke Stirling tobacco than GV. I don't smoke tailors. Cutters is the best of the cheaper ones, and it comes with papers and a proper resealable pouch. It took me a few years of research. [editline]16th August 2017[/editline] I have been triggered
Enjoy your early death, losers! *Shoves third full size Mars bar into mouth*
my dad once bet a student £50 to eat 20 mars bars he only managed 15 and went unconscious and they felt so sorry for him that they gave him £30
The real question is: Why does a single on my local train cost £1.90 but a return costs £2.00, utter madness.
when the law came in banning 10 packs i thought i read that menthols were getting banned too? or are duals the loophole there?
menthols are getting the can around 2020
The real question is: Why does a single on my local train cost £1.90 but a return costs £2.00, utter madness.
Would you prefer to pay £3.80?
Can't remember why but for some reason it was cheaper for me to get a return from Glasgow to Perth than a single once.
trains are fucked. buying tickets at the actual station means you get overcharged by a huge margin (when my dad and I got a train from london to newcastle, it was £150 each, for a fucking single). we bought it cause we didn't know any better at the time. you can get a return ticket from london to newcastle for £55 with a railcard <-- these are totally worth it, you can usually buy a railcard and get the tickets you wanted and have it be the same price as it would normally be, but after that, you're saving 33% on every ticket you buy. no brainer
train tickets are ridiculous these days, we ought to nationalise them along with freddoes

It's like our official relationship card, with both of our passport photos on it. [editline]16th August 2017[/editline] But yeah, the railcards are totally worth it. It's possible for them to pay for themselves in only 1 trip.
Do you have to travel together to use that Railcard? I'm about to turn 25 and I'll miss my card fiercely.
you both gotta be together iirc, you can get a 16-25 railcard and use it if you're over 25 and still in full time education, or you can get the southeastern railcard if you live in the south east. or if you're disabled you can get that one. the cost benefits are worth severing the nerves to your legs tbf
During my walk to work yesterday morning, I saw three Chinooks flying close together and what looked like low altitude. Then as I was walking by the Thames during my lunch, I saw an Apache fly by. That was pretty neato. This was in London, Fulham.

Make some room for me on that island of yours, I'm coming to UK!
my cousin is doing a law degree there, she fucking loves it. It's a really nice place, so you're probably gonna have the best 3 years of your life. PS: I'm mad jealous of the campus, it's a really nice campus
I'm doing a 4 year course, actually I'm a little worried since supposedly you have to wear formal on occasions, might be too nice of a place for me actually :v:
anyone going to reading this year? I got invited to come along as crew/VIP for a band I shoot for who are playing the introducing stage :v:
bout to head into my final resit, not looking like its going to go well but at least there's freedom afterwards. Thank you for the mediocre teaching, student debt and completely ruined mental health, University Of Edinburgh
