Do you lads ever get those train journeys, where from purchase to you leaving the destination station they don't check your ticket. So you think next time I won't buy a ticket to see what happens, but then it comes to next time and you buy a ticket because you know if you don't, that will be the day it gets checked. Then that journey doesn't get checked again either.
pretty much every fucking time lmao
i too would enjoy being prosecuted
I have only ever paid for tickets, I have never done an unpaid journey (other than one time in Paris). It's just the little devil on your shoulder situation. Did a 6 hour trip today with no checks, over 3 different services. Silly feckers.
guys - you all seem super sensible and i can't be arsed with the h&s lot so i pose you a question once i've got the new car paid off and some savings, i'm thinking of upgrading from my 2013 macbook pro i do photography and video for a living so need something able to keep up with that. i currently have 4 external hard drives, which i use one of at a time. i'm thinking the next comp i get will likely be a desktop of some kind to fit more storage, or possibly an external raid. in other news i've seen a good auction for 1 x 30" dell monitor and 2 x 20" 4:3 dell monitors. they're cracking bits of kit at a good price but i can only drive one of them, the 30" number from my laptop, hence the thought of upgrading. what's the best route for this? do i get a high spec laptop and thunderbolt dock, or a retina imac? for the £2k cost of a new macbook pro i feel like i'm being had. is building your own still cheaper or would a workstation of some kind be a better shout? what's your thoughts?
Unless there's something really appealing about owning a Mac such as the OS itself or certain pieces of software that only work on Macs, you really should be building your own. I guess portability is a big thing too, seeing as you've been using a laptop all this time. Best bet is to ask the H&S board, they're pretty nerdy with all that.
Is peri peri chicken meant to smell like bile? Because I got some local peri peri chicken and it smelled like bile.

It's £250 so not cheap but it's cheaper than a new Mac. Is there any specific reason for needing a mac?

Comes down to cost/benefit I guess.
What's everyone got planned for their bank holiday tomorrow? I'm gonna see if I can get a good mattress on sale seeing my old spring mattress is 6 years old now. Has anyone tried those multi-layered memory foam mattress from online only companies?

We've a good memory foam mattress it's not as comfortable as a really good spring mattress but it's so much better than any half-decent ones.
Currently sitting here watching American Wareworlf in London on Film4, every single time I've seen it I always think the same thing. I watched this shit as a 12 year old in school for an actual legit lesson with the head teacher. Blood guts, sex and profanity in all it's gory glory. I still honestly cannont comprehend how or why it happened. I suppose they show SAW to the kids these days.
I went to Reading festival on Saturday very dissapointed in the lack of actual book reading, just a bunch of teenagers getting fingered and taking drugs that said Eminem was pretty cool though he was lip syncing, which killed it tbh, and he's gained weight and grown a beard Then I came to carfest on Sunday to see Rick Astley, and he was as amazing as ever top weekend
Just got off a flight from Malaga for a mates wedding. Turbulence was mad, people crying and shit. My missus has mascara all over her cheeks. When I landed I messaged my mate about his flight which was supposed to leave 15 minutes before ours, he's still there. I don't mind bumpy flights, I'd take it over being delayed anyday. I thought the taxi ride to the airport was scarier, it was pissing down, a car spun out in front of us on the motorway. And Spanish drivers are nutty
I've a 10 hour shift starting at 6am, love bank holidays me.
Yeah, I worked three 12 hours split shifts last week, up at 6am don't get home until after 10pm with an unpaid 3 hour break between. It wasn't too bad, but still asked for my hours set down to 24 this week. 24hrs is a nice work week, 7am to 1pm for 4 days, getting home just after 1pm after working 6hrs doesn't even feel like you've left the house.

that ain't no sausage/milky bar combo
who actually drinks red bull these days? they're like the stereotype of that brand that initially was the biggest in its field, then got overtaken by the rest of the pack in every way but somehow still managed to tag along

All energy drinks taste like piss to me.
All energy drinks taste like piss to me.
Well that's why you dont get the flavorless ones that taste like piss.
Well that's why you dont get the flavorless ones that taste like piss.
I think it's more to do with the sticky texture and scent too. Admittedly I have only tried 3 or 4 different brands but I hated all of them.

Ahhhhh, I remember the days of survivng work via 3 cans of monster a day. The only way to survive coffee shop work is to ride the caffine dragon more than the triple espresso crowd.
How has your heart not given up yet?
I took 2 one day and I knew I hit my limit.
I took 2 one day and I knew I hit my limit.
man people that do this are weird. 2 is alright, but I knew people who'd down 3 or 4 a day. it was pretty fucking mindboggling. they'd do it every day without fail, blowing all their cash on monster instead of lunch.
