Finally got one over on this absolute arsehole at work. Felt good writing the email proving him wrong, he hasn't replied back since. On the flip side I managed to saw open my gloves, no damage to my fingers, I just took my mind off the bandsaw for a split second. Well, I needed to buy some new gloves so now's a good time as any.

Speaking of that, are there any other new FPers in the edinburgh region bar Sobotnik, Codename & I?

I always end up putting babestation on for a few minutes when my missus goes away, but then remember it's literally the most unerotic thing ever [editline]20th September 2016[/editline] I'd rather knock one out to the tslking clock or something [editline]20th September 2016[/editline] They used to play good garage cuts tho [editline]20th September 2016[/editline] They used to play good garage cuts tho

why would you even go to london
[QUOTE=Giraffen93;51083164]so i'm leaving for london at like 7am tomorrow, any last uncommon advice? :v:[/QUOTE] There's usually some free samples of something going on in King's Cross St Pancras whatever station. I don't know what else to say, I'm very rarely in London.

Most events I'm doing are uni (and in fact halls) specific but that one is for both unis I think. [Sp]intonation and (the lack of) commas are important when reading that[/sp]
Seem to have gotten opposing offers of warehouse work from W H Smiths and Amazon, not really sure which to go for. Amazon is the devil I know and probably the more lucrative, but W H Smiths might be relatively less busy.
At work we've got this middle aged guy (everyone else is under 30) who always seems to be falling asleep and needs to told about 3 times for everything. He's much slower than everyone, even when he's just moving, to the point where I'd rather get someone else to take things like letters to other offices. I normally get someone else to sort him out at the beginning of projects because I just don't have the patience to tell him the same thing repeatedly. Anyway apparently one of my guys asked him if he's got some sort of health issue that makes him tired all the time. Apparently he got really cagey about it saying it's a personal question. I don't really know how to deal with him though, I don't feel confortable asking someone with 20 years on me if there's something going on at home that means he isn't going to bed. Its not like me gently ribbing a 19 year old kid about going to bed at a reasonable time. He's a fully grown man ffs, if he wants to stay up late that's up to him.

You know, the cheap ass 'grow your own wife' shit you put in water. Must have been 8 years or so.

[Sp]intonation and (the lack of) commas are important when reading that[/sp][/QUOTE] yeah probably man, We've been to switch a couple of times in the past few days. We honestly just been pre-drinking in our flat then going out, but mostly getting shitfaced then going out. you going to soundclash? [editline]21st September 2016[/editline] Also the best thing has happened to our halls. Me and a mate of mine started jokingly saying that our block (c block) was the best block in liberty quays and every other block is a filthy peasant block. Everyone at first in the Facebook chat got really pissy with us telling us to grow up, but eventually as everyone started getting drunk on the first few nights we both went around gathering people from the entirety of the halls to our flat for drinks, eventually my mate was proclaimed king Scott by a bunch of people in C block. Best part is no one recognised my mate because his profile picture looks nothing like him in real life, so he managed to get a shit name for himself while keeping himself pretty much undiscovered, and as soon as a bunch of people found out they were just in amusement Uni is fucking amazing.
[QUOTE=Sobotnik;51083357]why would you even go to london[/QUOTE] it's fairly close, and i guess there's [I]some[/I] interesting stuff over there my dad got the idea though
how does one deal with the crippling despair when the majority of your mates have started uni and the time of their lives, whilst you're stuck in a placement until next year :ok: actually tbf fresher's week and the whole culture around it isn't something i probably would enjoy most of the time, must be fomo or something
Fuck I miss Uni so much. Enjoy it whilst you can lads, they say it's the best time of your life and I can defo agree with that.

Our group chat of 2 years is still really active. We're planning a meetup around Christmas but seeing as we couldn't organise anything when we were all within 50 metres of each other I don't know how we'll manage this. :v:
