I don't know how the job centre expects 35 hours of job search a day to be all productive rather than "yeah, nothing new" on some days.
Gary Linekear is suupose to be presenting match of the day in his pants tonight, wonder if he'll do it. https://twitter.com/alanshearer/status/764408226385362944/photo/1 :v: Oh wow he actually did it, fair play
I hate anxiety so fucking much. I'm currently sat on a metro hating myself for some reason, just because I tried going out and being social with work friends. I literally just feel so different and far away, like I really just don't belong at all. Sometimes I wonder if I even have my own personality since I just can't seem to be stable with how I act. I just wish I could be social and have friends and hold a relationship. Sorry for depressed close to drunk little rant about bollocks
Top of the medals table, lads. Some gymnast guys in tight clothing saved us from the humiliation of brexit
Top of the medals table, lads. Some gymnast guys in tight clothing saved us from the humiliation of brexit
Not top. We're above China. But have half the number of medals as the USA.

GCSE's this year f u c k Give me all of your tips about dealing with the stress etc because I do NOT handle stress/anxiety well. i don't get why everyone is getting worked up about this, it was obviously just a bit of banter
GCSE's this year f u c k
GCSE's are straightforward as far as exams go. Put in enough time so you're confident on the content and you'll do well.
GCSE's are straightforward as far as exams go. Put in enough time so you're confident on the content and you'll do well.
I have 20+ exams and a load of Controlled Assessments, I'll end up cracking from the stress.
doubt it, just plan your days well and balance the social side of shit and you'll be ok
i drank half a litre of tea and Its not helping me get through even the morning
I have 20+ exams and a load of Controlled Assessments, I'll end up cracking from the stress.
I had 24 exams plus 5 controlled assessments. It's honestly manageable because with GCSEs if you just practice the technique it's alright.
GCSE's this year f u c k Give me all of your tips about dealing with the stress etc because I do NOT handle stress/anxiety well.
Don't not study. I made that mistake. It was a mistake to make that mistake.
I'll second that, I got complacent and missed 3 science A*s by about 5 ums total or something (3 As). I'd aced all my physics mocks and come pretty close on other ones, so it was a bit of a shock. The moral being, learn to work and revise now.
anyone feel like they cannae be fucked today?
anyone feel like they cannae be fucked today?
that's everyday
Don't not study. I made that mistake. It was a mistake to make that mistake.
ya just do 30 mins to an hour of revision every night (you should buy those revision books they offer you, they more often than not have the exact answers you'll need for tests) and don't sweat it don't fall asleep in your exams in order to look "cool" like i did, otherwise you'll spend the rest of your life regretting it. seemed like nothing to me at the time but now i feel like shit for missing out on living at uni and getting pissed every weekend. at the end of the day they aren't a huge deal. don't over work yourself, just do enough. if you're doing a tiny bit of revision and paying attention in lessons then you'll be fine. you don't need to sweat about it and work your arse off to get A*'s cause once you're in college (you should only need C's and B's) the GCSE's mean fuck all [editline]15th August 2016[/editline]
anyone feel like they cannae be fucked today?
when you work freelance and have no real day to day schedule every day is a cannae be fucked day. i woke up at 8:30 all ive managed to do so far is make a coffee and start my pc
Would also mention that looking at your textbook/notes a few minutes before going into an exam is a bad idea, for me atleast. I completely scrambled my brain doing that. Zerosix has the right idea. About a week before my maths and english exam, the one whivh I knew I'd do the worst in I read my notes and did a few questions for about 20mins before going to bed. In the morning I would try and recall what I had read and learnt. Surprisingly most of it stayed in my head for the exam. Got a C in maths and B in English which I was very pleased with. For me aswell my GCSEs didnt mean fuck all in the career path I took. I got an A* in DT and a C in Art which got me to university doing construction and prop making. I knew I was bad at English, maths, science and my parents knew it. Atleast I was good at making things and I'm lucky enough to do that as my job now.
I just shaved all my facial hair off and now i look like a slug.
Start revision early too, don't leave it until a few months before

He also named it after a scene in Inbetweeners.
Thanks for all the advice, guys. I'm gonna buy the revision books when I go back in September.
anyone feel like they cannae be fucked today?
its mondae brah just counting down the days till uni atm [editline]15th August 2016[/editline]
Thanks for all the advice, guys. I didnt revise shit for my exams except from the ones I genuinely had interest in (media/history) and it definitely showed in my results. I failed maths, but I got the highest grade I could get in English which was a C because for whatever the fuck reason they make you do higher or foundation, when I could have easily took higher.

Literally have to have a shit sense of humor to find that crap funny
I didn't study at all and got A's and B's, it just comes down to how much you paid attention in classes really. If you're not feeling it, study, if you are don't stress about it. At the end of the day most college's don't want that much from you unless you're going for something pretty academic, I didn't need any of my As

I mean, my year group (finished secondary school two years ago) were the group that were either forced into an apprenticeship or college. So our local college basically accepted anyone really. College is where you shine, but thats if you choose too. If you just use it to piss the time up the wall then your only going to make it harder to get into your chosen career; thats if you have one at that time.

The moment something earns so much and with so many people under their thumb all sense of empathy and good will goes out the window. Unfortunately we need such a large level of industry to support our comfortable lifestyles so there's not much you can do to disassociate yourself from such unethicality.

It can't be any worse in the uk can it?
I'll paint it to you exactly the same way it was taught to me at college, the TV and Film industry is a shit line of work to get into as a new guy/girl, it exists in it's own legal / ethical / moral bubble where it can get away with being a cunt to it's employees , you get treated like shit, barely get any hours /work or you get all the shit hours no one wants to do and the best part is you're not likely going to get paid because, "if you don't want it, someone else will", if you are luky to be paid, it'll be less than what you could earn doing a minimum wage job, it's shit. They very much have you over a barrel in your formative years, Generally it's not a nice industry to start out in, once you get experience under your belt and people start to 'value' you as a person things change, but it's getting to that point which is hard (i myself couldnt deal with it, i'm not a viloent person at all and yet i wanted to beat the fuck out of a few people cause of how i saw people being treated). Now animators are kind of an offshoot of the industry but the stories iv'e heard from people iv'e met who do/ did it for a job have told me the same shit existed for them too, you might well be trained to do things but you won't be put in any position where you can apply those skills, you'll be making cups of tea and coffee. I realise thats a whole lot of negativity so i should balance the above out, my friend got a very nice job working for the BBC as a best boy, no horror stories or being treated like shit from his experience, the pay is good and he has nice hours.
