oh I know, I just find it funny that I recognised this far-right milo fanboy before people started getting upset about him

you know, voting for this guy sounds like voting for trump
it could be funny for like 10 minutes as everyone freaks out but then you realise he's a complete dickhead and you're stuck
what an absolute fandango. guy wouldn't be able to cope with the workload and would actively work to harm marganlised students, great idea
Pick your clubs and pick your nights wisely.
I'm kinda thankful that almost all of the clubs here have a predictable lineup every week. Even if the alternative night at the club I enjoy the most (basically operated by the local SU, so it's cheap af and i get in free as alumni) starts off with some rock and punk goodies, then devolves into Limp Bizkit and Hollywood Undead for top-tier cheese.
I normally do, it was just one of those spontaneous nights and there were no other big events on
Anyone watch HyperNormalisation on iplayer? It's pretty bananas
No. Because you now have to pay for iPlayer... The same price as a TV licence!
I don't own a TV. I don't want to own a TV. I have no interest in watching live television and wasting my hours channel flicking.
But I sure to miss being able to watch the occasional nature doco or something like HyperNormalisation on iPlayer.
£145 a year is a bit much for me.
Did anyone actually pay for a TV license in Uni?
I just got sent increasingly threatening letters and nothing ended up happening.
I don't think we're paying it at the moment, when we moved in someone knocked on our door but we didn't have an aerial at the time.

And I watched it at work so I'm not sure what thta means
do any of you lads have a method of avoiding cooking way too fucking much pasta every time
flatmate said three handfuls, but that doesn't seem to be enough
when you cook your pasta and eat it, remember to take a number of how many pieces of pasta you have eaten
when you come to cook next time, simply count out that many pieces of pasta and then you'll never fear having cooked the wrong amount ever again

If you live in a block of flats they've got literally no way of being able to prove anything unless one of you are stupid enough to let them in. They have no powers of entry, they are a private company.

Not cooking pasta works for me
[editline]20th October 2016[/editline]
I only eat oven food and processed meats
Thanks, does that work for rice too?
no, because there would be too many rice grains to count
Thanks, does that work for rice too?
Rice is half a cup I think

In my first week I did non-ready meals 0 days, second I did 3, this week I'm going to do 5
Doesn't actually take as long as I thought if you pick the right things

Just get some tupper wear and save it till tomorrow
Or find a flatmate to share with
no, because there would be too many rice grains to count
That is what I call a quitter, lads.

The secret to cooking rice is to cook the amount you think is correct, and then to eat 5 portions of it like the filthy animal you are, despite originally aiming to cook enough for two.
started a fight in a club last night because some arsehole grabbed my arse and it's one of my pet peeves. threw a drink on me when i told him to fuck off, lunged for me, bouncer came over and removed him no questions asked and gave me a nod and a smile. the benefits of drinking in a place you work :) still ruined my night as i had drink and spit on me but at least i got to ruin his night for being a little arsehole

I have cooked 5 days a week (+nuggets and oven chips and a pizza for the other two days) and it's actually pretty nice. Favourite meal is a fight between chicken, pepper and mushroom risotto and chicken, grilled halloumi and pepper wraps.

they tried to "flirt" with / harass you and then decided to try and attack you when you told them to fuck off? wow, that person sounded like a first grade F * * cunt
fucking weird to think i'm already halfway through first semester of uni, terrifying as well as I've pretty much got no idea what's going on in two of my courses

Yeah, to always eat it all.

been creasing at this thread
So I work part-time in a restaurant, and my boss came up to me to ask me about the new place I'm staying. He said that some co-worker is getting dodgy with the government, Head of Human Resources wants boss to give all info he has on his workers. So, he asked me where I live, I told him, asked for rent, then things got a little scary.
So he says that since I'm living without paying rent, there could be questions and maybe trouble (he thinks I'm in some kind of scamming scheme or something), but that's not true. He says however that there's a thing called 'payment in kind,' which means if I help around the house then everything should be hanky-dory.
What I want to know is again, IS it illegal somehow? Because I'm staying without giving any money, I am a non-tenant occupier, but this page doesn't mention if it's illegal for me to be living there or not. What gives, Facepunch?

Pop down citizens advice tbh. I don't think it's ok for work to ask how much your rent is, and if my boss were to ask I'd tell him it's none of his business (because it isn't!!!)
Is there like a lawyer here whom I can ask or something?
Try going to a law centre for free legal advice
I'll go to CAB and other places. But before then, I'd really need your advice, Facepunch. If anything.
