I have my Driving Theory test on the 9th of December, I don't have a lot of time since I work full time, go College and study for it. I don't know fuck all , ANY advice?
Don't drive and then drink, it's bad for the stomach so I've heard. (Does the UK have any practice tests you can do? We had a CD that had all the questions on it and I just kept doing the practice tests OVER and OVER again until I was getting 38/40 every time.)
I have my Driving Theory test on the 9th of December, I don't have a lot of time since I work full time, go College and study for it. I don't know fuck all , ANY advice?
Half of the questions are just common sense (e.g. if you see a motorcyclist lying in the middle of the road, there will probably be an option to pull over and call for an ambulance. Don't click the option to move him though). The rest though you need to learn, but with a bit of intuition you should get half the marks. The hazard perception test is defo one you should practice though. It's a bitch to know what hazard is the real hazard but you get the hang of it fairly quickly. Just remember it's about spotting something that could potentially be dangerous as soon as possible but without being too early that it's impossible for there to be an accident. There are free online videos for this. I personally didn't revise for any of them and I still passed because friends and family taught me the road signs and the highway code as we went out and about. Doesn't help when I'm coming up to the practical test though (7th time lucky on the 24th?) :v:
Cheers and good luck with your driving test

Got my practical test on Friday, bricking that! Good luck

When I went for my theory there were only a few questions that the app hadn't tested me on, and it even teaches you how to perform the best in hazard perception too

Thanks for the help guys, I've downloaded a few apps from the App Store, especially the one suggested. So I guess I'll put my head down and YouTube some hazard preception videos
Yeah I need to book a GP appointment for the same thing pretty much, apparently took up to 2 weeks last year to get an appointment haha
NHS mental health is chronically underfunded, I am afraid. I believe the typical number of counselling sessions you get is like 6. All blame goes to politicians and cuts. For contrast, my uni counselling service gave me one a week for as long as needed, plus a visit to a consultant psychiatrist, and occupational health sessions. Bright side, I feel absolutely the best I have ever been in life now.
lots of uni students seem quite superficial. i get along with everyone i meet but man where's the people you can just kinda talk to about shit without any accessory to conversation? seems like you gotta have something pumping through your veins, in to your ears or in to your stomach to get a nugget o chat around here
Honestly what i'd do is see if there are any clubs about stuff you like, and chances are there will either already be another person you age there, or someone will show up within a couple of weeks.

Don't get me started on the NHS, there is 1 hospital near me, and 1 in Birmingham, one of the doctors couldn't come and see me because there had been a emergency in Birmingham, this happened more than once. The person who helped me the most was my fucking GP, because he actually took the time to help. Thanks Tim! Can you tell I don't like the UK Mental Heath system? Damn you Flaaaash!

The NHS actually (despite what every paper e.t.c says) does very well with the money it has, but it's just a case of the organisation working on a shoestring. We spend £100m+ per fighter on each F35 (we ordered 138), which could be spent on ~30 MRI machines each (bear in mind your average district general hospital has ONE, big ones have up to 3 or so) , or on training over 100 doctors each (expensive to train!), or god knows how many counsellors or psychologists. We want, and deserve Scandinavian quality, but I suppose the people need to accept that that comes with Scandinavian taxes.

Was 220% done with work I mean I was in a really horrible mood, I'm still shite at putting things in boxes at the rate and quality Amazon demands. I had someone tell me to focus on quality over quantity, then later on had someone tell me the opposite. The latest repeating greavance seems to be those sort of clamshell-like packages buly books and really fucking awkward shit gets put in, you're not allowed to have the item "visible" but some things come in plastic bags which get caught in folds and peek out and I don't know if the guy at the end of the line will break my balls over that, or that the folds are often not so tight so if you maybe shine a torch and really peer into them then you might see there's something in the package as iff the fact it's not flat wasn't a big enough clue in itself and I don't know if the guy will say "oi mate, this C envelope is right naff". Well, actually they don't tell me. They fix it, then put a little red flag by my name or something, then a woman comes along and says "you got negative feedback" and I get the message of 'item was packages poorly and was visible' and I don't know what it looked like or which item it was or anything like that. I don't know if I really fucked up or if the guy at the end of the line was The Grinch and wanted to stop children from getting their Christmas presents by fucking me over. And I'm not paying much attention, you really can't actually think about what's going on, or check anything or be aware at the pace Amazon wants from you. But no, I have to triple check each C envelope for the item being visible or the packaging being tight enough and that cardboard is a piece of work bending in odd ways that you can't help. And if you think somoene could concievable break your balls over it, you can either take the risk or have to redo it, triple check it, and only then put it on the line. Which means your record plummets and you get the woman going to you again telling you your record is down. So those things can go fuck themselves. Compulsary overtime is starting soon so now my 40 hours of pain and misery a week become a solid block of 55 hours of pain and misery uon pain and misery. Let this be a lesson children, don't be financially vulnerable and don't fall behind. Be a butcher or end up meat.
Compulsary overtime? Isn't that illegal?
Almost makes me not want to bother ffs
Just got told I have to wait 4 and a half months for a specialist mental health assessment. Yay NHS cuts.
nhs is trash, my gp won't prescribe me any more naproxen or even tell me why, so i have to buy the 16-packs of ibuprofen in tesco to help with my arthritis when I went to germany i bought loads of naproxen since its over the counter there, felt the best i have in years
On the plus side of things, I've got with 2 different girls from my seminar group within a week (one of them last night) and have a seminar with them both in about 2 and a half hours :-) I've played myself
Compulsary overtime? Isn't that illegal?
Not when you're a big company.
Not when you're a big company.
Yeah, I found myself in similar situations when working for a fairly large retail company that uses a big R as its logo. 40 hour contract but routinely made to do 55-60 because they had no fear of sacking people regardless of shadiness. My manager at the start of the year got slapped with gross misconduct for getting signed off with a sick-line, somehow she lost her tribunal. Large-scale, low-end employers are scum.
i had no idea how fun it was to DJ for a rollerdisco not only because you can shove any old shite on, but watching people do the most hilarious, comical falls - continuously for 4 hours - is gold. Really cheered me up. Does that make me a sadist?
your choices of tune were to say the least, fab
