lmao i thought about this at work, i didn't realise people actually do that kind of shit in real life
She revamped the entire bottom floor of a tower block or something like that while someone else was away. This was at some Mediterranean holiday island or something.

I'm a land surveyor who's done property arguments before, literally been to jobs where 2 neighbours are arguing over 10cm of drystone wall that's decayed over the 100 years it's been there. People take this stuff very seriously :v:
You gotta explain more than that!
I can't remember the exact story but she owned/was working with the owner of a large multistory building, and one person was resisting her doing the work they wanted to do, so while they were on holiday, my neighbour redid the whole thing. I can't remember the details, but basically it was a "fuck you, it's there now, what are you going to do about it?", much like this. Dad is going to check where the boundary should be then if they have encroached, ask them to move the fence and replace the patio slab. The land here is probably worth £5000 at least and possibly more if it's the difference between it being a one or two house plot. We were meant to be friends so it's really upsetting, tbh. [editline]17th August 2016[/editline] I live in a small close where everyone knows each other and my dad is a really nice guy who gets on with everyone, helps them out when needed. It's a massive slap in the face. [editline]17th August 2016[/editline] I'm starting to get quite nervous. I'm not sure if it's good or bad that my course at Southampton has no places in clearing.
Waking up at 8am to find out what my future's like on UCAS Track Good luck lads
Track is down I think
My physics teacher just sent a nice email saying she would be thinking of us but couldn't be there etc, which was all sweet except for the fact that she set the subject as "Your results" which is the easiest way to make me have a heart attack :v:
Good luck you knobs. If it doesn't go well, your local McDonald's will take you.
I got my results for Warwick (my school emails the results before track opens), don't understand why Politics is an A* with lower score than in History, but that doesn't really matter all too much
A*s are based on A2 unit % (and sometimes only specific A2 units). Grats though, thank God we never have to take things into the real world (ew)! [editline]18th August 2016[/editline] So if you got 180 this year and 170 last year that's better than 175 last year and 177 this year. [editline]18th August 2016[/editline] I got into Southampton. Not sure on my grades but they've emailed me :D
Welp, I was rejected. Does anyone know if calling up the uni to beg works? My insurance, Coventry, accepted me when they ask for BBB as well, so clearly my results weren't too low (haven't received them yet). I'm not interested in Coventry at all, doesn't line up with my future plans
Depends how close you were
Depends how close you were
Probably one grade off, Another BBB uni accepted me. Although with that said the offer was already pulled down from ABB because it was a firm. Oh well, time to go into the retake bin
You can call them up (it sometimes does work, and this year they have spare places because of a small birth cohort IIRC so it might work more than usual) but I would get advice from your school first
It's always worth a go. I got Nottingham to lower my offer by emailing them. If you've met members of staff and think you made a good impression it can be worth going through them (I emailed my interviewer). [editline]18th August 2016[/editline] That said, if you're phoning it might be worth knowing what you're going to say before you ring. Not necessarily a script, just bullet points maybe. [editline]18th August 2016[/editline] I got A*AA (a* in physics), core 4 fucked me up hard.
I'm almost certain they couldn't be bothered to read my handwriting in my GOVP4A (which I got 81 for) but the marker persevered in the other Politics which I got 99 in, since I felt that there was almost no difference between them in quality when I did them... whatever, I got the grades I needed, now updated on UCAS
I thought c3 went worse than c4 but nope, aced c3 got a low b in c4 [editline]18th August 2016[/editline] And they moderated my physics coursework down :( I spent fucked ages on that.
Turns out I got CDD :( U in c4, U in physics module 4 E in c3, E in Business module 2
I'm about to set off to get my AS results, did maths and physics (even though physics is new spec and the AS exam doesn't matter)
One of my friends got every grade from A to U across various papers. He deserves a medal.
How the fuck do you check your credit score? Like whenever i google it, it just tells me to go on to any of these sites and sign up for free trials. Are these really official ways to check your credit score? They all seem like scams? I can't seem to find like some official government way (if there is one?!) to find my credit score. Anybody had this issue before? I'm looking to get a used car on finance as i found a good deal and i want to check if my credit score is good so i can get the best finance option. It shouldn't be bad since i've never been in debt before.

Got into my uni of choice, over the moon
Couple of friends with A*AB who have been rejected from AAA courses when the A* was in the subject and the B was in a different subject wtf

It gives a score out of 700, 380 is the national average so I'd guess over 400 is fairly good. Mine was only 350 when I joined and my bank said I had good credit. But I didn't have any debt at all at the time, I've since brought it up to 450. If you get a credit card it goes up fairly quickly. Experien is the biggest and most commonly used by financers but you have to sign up and then wait for them to send you a code in the post.
Turns out I got CDD :( U in c4, U in physics module 4 E in c3, E in Business module 2
I got a U in C3 and C4
Another mate got 4 A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Fucking christ. [editline]18th August 2016[/editline] I aced c3 and s1, got Bs in c4 and M2 :(
School are probably going to have me do an extra year yay
anyone going to bath spa?
Turns out I got CDD :( U in c4, U in physics module 4 E in c3, E in Business module 2
I got similar and got into uni and graduated with a 1st, Moving onto a masters now at a different uni. During my degree I manage to get a placement year (You apply for them like proper jobs) in a large multinational company, they didn't even look at my grades apart from what I got in first year of uni. People look at my grades but the placement year and the company name pretty much over shadows it, as I found out when I applied for graduate jobs (I had offers but decided to turn them down for the masters in a different field) Bad A-Level results doesn't mean its game over, sure you can't get into the top unis but if you keep going you can still get places.
