I went into a Subway today and had a voucher to get a footlong for the price of a 6-inch. Now I have used probably hundreds of vouchers at many different places and one thing is almost always certain. The vouchers will be out of date and the guy behind the till wont give a toss. But today for the first time ever this guy (he looked very young and new) TURNED OVER the voucher and CHECKED THE DATE and refused the voucher. I have to say I was in shock I mean I had practically forgotten that vouchers even had dates on them because nobody ever checks them. I almost went to lean over and go "wtf man" to the manager who was serving some other guy but then I remembered "oh wait this just means he is doing his job". I then begrudgingly reached into my pocket and out the TWO POUNDS EXTRA!!! that my meal and drink cost. But I kept the voucher and will use it at one of the other two subway stores in my town :smug:
What about moving to Scotland?
sounds awful
i want to move somewhere different for a bit but i'm not sure where or what i could do - would mean losing all my contacts and work in scotland
Well quite honestly the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and both Irelands are perfectly suitable places to go stay for a bit while also keeping in contact. Poland, France, Spain and the like on the coast are also pretty good for flying and staying close. Netherlands especially, Norway even more.
i kinda just want to live in a nice remote part of the country for a bit? but i know nothing about it, nor do i have the money, nor do i have the connections

Skegness even the name sounds rancid Sounds like an insult too, "You Fuck'n Skeg" On a Semi Related note, Hull is the capital of culture. Iv'e been to Hull and it seems to me they spelt it wrong.
Come to Milton Keynes, you'll get lost after a few roundabouts [editline]6th January 2017[/editline] Unfortunately we don't have any of the magic variety

My disappearing spreadsheet plot thickens. The same versions of the spreadsheet for all projects from pretty much the past year has disappeared. They all draw from a database. I've no idea if that's relevant. How does this even happen [editline]6th January 2017[/editline] Turned out our storage decided to quarantine every spreadsheet with a macro. Hopefully it is just a false positive

You won't be paying any rent and will have food taken care of - in exchange for labour or help for the host. (hosts treat their guests massively differently though). You've got a car, right? I'm sure in your free time you'd be able to make a bit of cash on the side etc. And I'm sure you could have a month or two long trip somewhere remote and break even at the end.

two more days of mundane bournemouth before another term of slightly less mundane but still pretty boring bath perhaps one day i'll live in not very mundane but a bit sketchy after 7pm london
main fear is coming home and having nowt, i could just live in the car for a week but maybe all i need is a holiday?
Yeah, for sure. Don't ever underestimate the power of a good holiday or time away. Every chance I get, I make sure to go somewhere new/different. But of course, mulah is always a-niggling at the back of the mind.
skegness is fucking shit
It's not the most attractive area but Butlins is pretty decent for a weekend if you have kids. The beach can be quite nice if the weather is right. Perhaps I'm just saying this because it's the closest beach back home.
I thought Butlins was a nightmarish place for hen parties and sloshy 80s weekends now?
I once went to butlins, the accommodation was basically a portacabin. I then knew why people said prison is like butlins
you chattin shit?
We'll get them back in Lincolnshire style. Nick their tractors.
BBC is weird
I thought Butlins was a nightmarish place for hen parties and sloshy 80s weekends now?
Holiday parks like Butlins really are relics from a bygone era, I don't know why you'd go to Butlins when you can fly to Spain for £30.
you chattin shit?
To be fair, Skeg has fallen a long way from grace in the last 15 years.
Is there a weekend Kindergarten Cop isn't on
BBC is weird
i can't be the only one thinking this is really bad taste and just unnecessarily edgelord shit
Is there a weekend Kindergarten Cop isn't on
That film is great [editline]8th January 2017[/editline] ITS NOT A TUMAH
That film is great [editline]8th January 2017[/editline] ITS NOT A TUMAH
I think I've watched it nearly every month for the past year.
So my manager has just accidentally sent porn to our work's Whatsapp chat. It was a clip of spiderman getting his dick sucked and he's just attempted to say it was sent to him and it automatically spread to the chat. That poor poor bastard. Everyones took it well but if that happened to me i'd leave the country.
manchester is such a shit place
