Ricer friend is giving me a lift back home from uni for the weekend. Hope I don't end up in a fucking ditch somewhere.
I've changed adress pretty much every year for the past 6. I've always kept the V5 up to date, but otherwise I was never organised. I suppose this should be the year I finally change it, but I'm probably going to move again in 6 months. And this has all reminded I need to pay my road tax tomorrow. £163 for 6 months, that's criminal .
fuck sake man what do you drive
Mk 1 Focus 2.0 207g/km :'( [editline]31st January 2017[/editline] It drinks too, I think I get 20-22 mpg driving city
So not only do I have a 9am lecture on a different campus to normal every Monday, but my 5pm on Friday is from the head of the course so "he'll care a lot about attendance"
simmer down lad, i've just got off this set of shifts pretty sure I finished late on most of those days. especially tonight, @ 0140hrs
fuck sake man what do you drive
I pay about the same for an Alfa 156 2.0, plus £83 a month insurance because I stopped driving for a year which evaporated my no-claims. 12 years since I passed my test in March, never made an insurance claim in my life, still getting shafted.

Apart from the tax and fuel, it doesn't cost anything where as if I bought or leased a new car I'd be paying maybe £150-200 a month. It's being a good runner at the moment too. And I'm saving for a deposit really
I'm doing a online course and the teacher doesn't realize he keeps drawing tiny swastikas on the whiteboard. [editline]31st January 2017[/editline] He's noticed [editline]31st January 2017[/editline] "You know I like to draw the swastikas"
Can someone help me with a seasonal train pass. I live in Manchester and need to get to glossop. Closest train station is Guide Bridge which is not near Piccadilly etc If I get the seasonal pass for piccadilly or wherever, will it let me use the guide bridge station too? Just trying to get the best for my money, since I heard if you get train stations in Manchester then you also get free buses too?

Just dealt with my first crying staff member. She was upset by the attitude of another employees attitude mostly when I'm not in. Never had to do this before, I told her not to let it get to her and that everyone knows the other person is always making a fuss about something, said if it continues being a problem we'll take it further. I'm not very well equipped for this
I have to re-sit my Maths GCSE for the third time now.

Wow, the premier league was shit tonight.
I have to re-sit my Maths GCSE for the third time now.
Christ, I though I had it bad having to redo AS Maths and an extra year in 6th form.
Need to learn then buddy - not sure you've started this the right way, you've pretty much told your employee they're upset over nothing!
As I said unequipped! My post might have been a bit too brief, they'd had their exchange and maybe five minutes later the girl who was upset sent me a text asking to talk in private and when we was talking she got more upset. I've worked with her closely for a couple of years now so it's not like I'm some distant person who doesn't know her. I asked whether she wanted us to take it further and she didn't want to. But yeah I'm not good at this sort of stuff. It's a bit wierd as well because I used to be in the same role as them and sort of got promoted as a senior one of them meaning I basically did their job but also made sure the technical stuff was working (i basically got that role by turning up everyday and not complaining). Then when the manager of our team and her helper lady left unexpectedly weeks apart I fell into this role. If you told me 2 years ago that I'd be herding a small team of people I would've laughed. I'm not a manager type. Before I didn't have to get involved in drama. And the thought of telling a grown woman older than me with children and a mortgage that her attitude is bad is kinda weird for me

Anyone here work for UKFast? Highly doubt it tho
Best kind of apple?
Cox apples.
Anyone here work for UKFast? Highly doubt it tho
I've heard really bad things about it, both from places from GlassDoor and some ex-collegues of mine. Apperently it's very cult like and you basically have to gobble down your line manager's penis or female equivalent, if you're looking to get your foot in the door with IT then it should be okay for maybe 1/2 years but for a long term job, I wouldn't recommend it.
Best kind of apple?
Pink Lady, shit's delicious and classy.
Best kind of apple?
Granny Smith
