Overheard someone at Tescos talking about how "It's a good job we left the EU, the Euro has really dropped", how is it possible to be this informed and uninformed at the same time? :EDIT: Really need to check things over.

Second Horseman of the packaging apocalypse has appeared before me today. Lids on milk bottles that don't actually screw on and just end up popping off. The end of days may be nigh.
LS28 here
Isn't that like countryside?
Tell you what, driving home from the lakes on sunday was fun, hammering it down with rain for first half and then 10mph down alot of the m6 past lancaster
I'm surprised I've never seen anyone else from Leeds on fp considering how big it is.
I know of a few on here from Leeds, they tend to stick to themselves\never visit this thread though.
As sad as it is, I've managed to go a week without blazing. I haven't done that while remaining in the country for maybe 9 years It's strange, it's a bit like learning to live again or something. Aside from the odd times abroad it's sort of been my entire adult life. The first few days were rubbish, the TV is infinitely harder to watch. I even turned it off the other day because Jamie Oliver was being annoying. Previously I would've let it run. That's the biggest danger with weed, it makes you comfortable. It's a miracle that I'm not still working at Tesco
good for you man, couldn't handle it myself, I hate the smell. nothing against people who do it obviously, just coming home from work to my uni flat and the hallway just reeking of weed is so tiresome.
i treat bud like alcohol, i wouldn't drink every day so why would i blaze every day?
Is "No fuck off" an acceptable reply to a co-worker trying to get me to cover her shift while I'm on a week's holiday from work? I cover people's shifts all the damn time and I'm using this week to do my dissertation. Don't even think it's possible to come in when you're logged in for a break.

Wouldn't have actually said fuck off ofc, but it's frustrating me to shit now.
I feel for people in retail as there is this expectation that you will just work whenever unless you have gave specific days/times you can't, if you don't then you're not a 'team player' or whatever the corporate lingo is. But since you could easily be replaced if you have dickish management you feel like you have to. I am damn lucky I have a mon-fri job with set shifts every week tbh.
Ne2 anyone??? [editline]27th February 2017[/editline] big up newcastle upon tyne
Ne2 anyone??? [editline]27th February 2017[/editline] big up newcastle upon tyne
Fuck yeah
Ne2 anyone??? [editline]27th February 2017[/editline] big up newcastle upon tyne
Lived in Jesmond for a year a few years back, I think that was NE2. Parents/hometown are NE22/NE62 though.
Is "No fuck off" an acceptable reply to a co-worker trying to get me to cover her shift while I'm on a week's holiday from work? Don't even think it's possible to come in when you're logged in for a break.
If you are that uncomfortable saying flat out no then just make up some excuse as to why you can't, as simple as 'sorry I have plans'. I mean the fact that you are literally timetabled as on holiday means they shouldn't even be trying to get you to cover their shift. In my GF's old job everyone would try to pressure her into covering cause they knew she always said yes thinking well at least they owe her one (And then she'd end up doing stuff like working 10-14 days in a row), then the few times she desperately needed cover nobody even bothered replying to her. Then one guy who had screwed her over with cover previously (But didn't know that she knew) started begging her to cover for him with like 8 hours notice (The night before) and when she finally said no he started trying to guilt trip her saying he had concert tickets and wasn't going to be able to go because she wouldn't cover for him. If people know you always say yes they will ask you constantly for cover, and it gets to the point they actually expect you to say yes and get offended when you say no. It's one thing if you need the hours or you genuinely get along with your coworkers, but a lot of people are snakes and will buddy up to you when they need something and be radio silent when its their turn to help you out.

Only there for a few more months though.. I'm leaving as soon as exams are finished in May.
So there's a form I was told i should fill and send to the government, the application for registration certificate as a EEA qualified person. I was told it's better to do it asap, I've lived in UK for three years now, and apparently they made it more difficult to be accept for this starting tomorrow. True/false? Never heard of this before. I'm a citizen of Latvia which is EU, for the record.

There's a help number I'd suggest calling here https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi/european-nationals and explaining your situation, hopefully they can give you a bit more information about it and if/why you need it asap.

She said I wont find a UK source on it because nobody covered this at all. Weird.
