And your solution is stealing cakes?
Well, armed revolution's a bit beyond my reach. We all have to start somewhere.
I mean, I'm pretty depressed at the state of the world and all but I don't see how you can know that this guy you took brownies from has any part or involvement in this shit at all.
You literally took a cake from a stranger by the sounds of it.
He wore a suit jacket to a casual social gathering and spoke with a posh accent.
Might as well have been the devil.
Are you kidding me
You are judging someone directly from their appearance lmao
Of course. Do you expect me to judge them by their smell?

You do know what Smart Casual is don't you? He wasn't wearing a 3 piece suit, nearly everyone has a suit jacket in their closet they can throw on for a social gathering.
You came in here, complaining of class division, then did nothing but shit on the upper class. You are the problem.
I'd have thought you would have judged them on their character and personality like a normal human being tbh
Of course. Do you expect me to judge them by their smell?
Who says you need to judge them at all? They're selling brownies at very reasonable prices, so pay them or leave it. This literally has nothing to do with class and everything to do with rationalising theft.
Of course. Do you expect me to judge them by their smell?
Yes? I imagine if they don't smell of BO then they're probably a rich cunt.
You know those pots of brownies you can get for under £2 in a supermarket?
each piece was slightly bigger than one you'd find there, and of about the same quality. The lower class part of me wanted to fight the power, but the middle class part condemned his poor business practices which was giving him a low volume of sales.

Yeah but they were his brownies, he could ask whatever he wanted for them.

God forbid someone spend their time making some brownies for a quick fiver or so (potentially for charity, which is what these things are usually for). How depleted of morals must you have to justify your narcissism so you can steal someone else's hard work? Literally the stereotype of a benefit scrounger.
Defining yourself as a part of any "class" would be insulting quite frankly. This extends past a bloody brownie.
In other news lads, I'm planning on moving out in April with 2 flatmates.
Anyone got any tips? General budgeting tips would be nice in regards to bills etc. I'm in the west of Scotland, if that's any use.

I don't actually I need to buy a suit
My suit has been sitting crumpled in a heap for about 5 months. I bought it cheap for a wedding and it was dry clean only
Aside from things like weddings I never have to wear smart clothes. I don't even think I have smart shoes atm, it's all trainers and work boots
I have a suit where I'd rather have a more feminine suit.
I've got a slim-fit suit that I never wear because I am too self-conscious.

The fact that the left call it right wing and the right call it left wing show that it's doing a pretty good job at neutrality. It tends to favour the current government especially on foreign policy but I think we're all prone to noticing and getting upset when something contradicts our own biases so we remember them.

people will argue this death
its political orientation is simply steered by the people writing/broadcasting for them
generally most entertainment programming is liberal leaning, e.g. charlie brooker

Let's be honest though - those who argue over it generally just want a fight over something.
Just reading through the comments on Facebook posts from BBC news unearths at least 5 arguments over the BBCs political standing, Trump, Brexit and some other, random topic. There's no coherent argument or evidence - just "It's Right/left wing!!!"... and that's it. No evidence (or at least it's anecdotal ("A friend of a friend's neighbour told me the BBC did X...") and incredibly flawed/ends up with childish insults).

Fight that power. Fight the fascists... by stealing a brownie and trying to justify it by saying it's you fighting the class divide.
It sounds more like a sitcom premise than reality.
I really hate how my local labour group block anyone who posts anything that doesn't agree with what they say. I'm not sure how they expect to change anyones view on anything and ever get into power if they refuse to debate with people with differing views?

Welcome to modern politics.
Anyone else at the NHS march yesterday? My first march and we had +250,000 people attend.

That speaks volumes about who they are. Unfortunately see quite a lot of that in modern and in student politics as well, plenty of hypocrisy from every camp. Sorta proves why people who aren't already into politics don't really want to get involved.
