New Top Gear is pretty good now they've got rid of Chris Evans
My knee is hurting and feels weird (the knee cap seems totally loose) and I've asked my dad, he and my grandad had the same issue but they were over 50 :suicide:
As much as anything I don't really have time for this

If there's a lot of play in your kneecap (also called patella) then it could be that you recently stretched the muscles without realising. Have you ever dislocated your knee? Because it sounds like you are susceptible to it.

Fight that power. Fight the fascists... by stealing a brownie and trying to justify it by saying it's you fighting the class divide.
It sounds more like a sitcom premise than reality.
I've never dislocated it as far as I know but as I said knee issues run in the family. I'm going to book a go appointment tomorrow (as in book it tomorrow, I doubt I'll get anything tomorrow) because my mum has health insurance with work but is retiring at the end of the month so I'd better sort it ASAP. Just feels a bit lame to fuck up my knee while sitting down. If this isn't gone by tomorrow then it'll probably be that the causes of my most serious injuries will be:
Trying to avoid having a bath, aged 7
Running into someone in year 10 or cricket and
Sitting down and walking to the kitchen of my flat. Like wtf.

The knee joint can get fucked up in all kinds of ways because it carries so much of your body weight. I've got quite bad knees and it sounds similar to what you've got.
Wish I had a dash cam, just sat behind someone no seatbelt, no headrest, on the phone
Hope he breaks his fecking neck

After some prick missed his exit on a roundabout, and pushed me off the road (literally onto the verge) - I decided to get one.
He slowed down and ran away like a coward after. Wish I had my dashcam around back then. I'd report him for dangerous driving.
Yeah dashcam's are great. Makes me feel a lot better about driving when some arsehole can suddenly go into the back of you.
In other news lads, I'm planning on moving out in April with 2 flatmates.
Anyone got any tips? General budgeting tips would be nice in regards to bills etc. I'm in the west of Scotland, if that's any use.
- Much better to far overbudget at first because you will almost certainly go over it
- Don't buy too much alcohol/takeaways, its easy to get into the habit of spending 2-4 weeks worth of groceries shopping in a week on takeaways.
- Figure out some staple meals you like that you can cook from scratch on the cheap, making a rough meal plan that you can pick and choose from (With some lazy stuff if you don't feel like cooking) helps a lot.
Not really sure what advice you want for bills, there are plenty of tools online that can estimate for you, just remember utilities should be similar costs every month but overall change depending on season.
The main thing is housemates tbh, managing a flat/house is easy, what isn't easy is living with other people who are inconsiderate/messy/take up more than their share without giving back and it can be quite a shock moving in with people who are your friends thinking it'll be great only to find they really aren't good housemates.
Setting ground rules for everyone is a start for things like keeping the place clean, everyone doing their fair share of housework and tidying up their own mess goes a long way.

Fortunatley I've been living in Halls of Residence with these 2 guys and I'm quite sure we'll get on fine. I also very rarely go out or drink so I think I'll be ok in that regard.
I'm thinking of maybe pooling money for utilities; other flatmates want to 'pay their share' but I can only see that getting messy. Seems easier to all pay the same percentage.
The already too small post office in my town is being integrated into WHSmiths this week and now going to be even smaller.

They usually extend the opening hours when they do that, though, don't they?

Everyone paying equal shares of bills is the only way, there is no way to work out exactly how much of different utilities each person is using and its just asking for arguments.
Last house share I lived in we had problems because we paid bills every 3 months, and a Dutch girl who wasn't around for 1.5 months insisted that she should only pay half of what she should normally pay.
Ultimately if you live in a house you have a shared equal responsibility for the bills, its not fair on other people living there to expect that they should pay more or less for bills depending on their own choice to be there or not.

They are staying the same apparently. http://www.chad.co.uk/news/mansfield-post-office-branch-set-for-shopping-mall-move-1-8186882
Lovely Building tho, will be a shame to see it empty.

I know friends who have done the latter and it seemed to work out. They split the bills amongst each other (electricity, water and gas) but they each use all the utilities so it works out. If you have a flatmate who doesn't use gas for example (electric hob and no heating in the summer) then it may get messy.
Since you're a student, you also get free council tax for the time you're in uni. That saves quite a lot, and if you don't have a TV license, even more (else you could share out the cost of the license, but I doubt those who don't use it will be happy about that).

None of us use TV, so we should be OK on that front. I'll try and talk to them about the bills again - I think they'll come around, might just need to lay it out so it's clearer.

The tactics me and my mates have taken for when we start the 2nd year of uni is to all pay the fair share of rent all the time and only the people who are present pay for utilities, as they will be the only ones benefitting.

Well how would they expect the bills to be split? There is no way to work out the exact share each person owes from a house of electricity etc.

Yeah that's my point. I'm trying to explain this to them.
Tonnes of student houses have bills included in the rent for this exact reason

Oh boy, Mansfield is a trainwreck of a town anyway
So as becoming 18 is approaching real soon and not wanting to say, me and my friend have planned to share a place. We haven't got anything set in stone, but do any of you lads have tips or whatever?

You don't want stuff to be awkward for the 1-2 months it might take till you fuck
since it seems campfp isnt happening, when is the FPUK orgy?
Real talk tho don't move into a house with 4 girls.

My old man said when he was a student they split it based on floor space in each bedroom. Whoever had the best room paid most, etc. Bit of a weird way of doing it but whatever works for you.
