I can't fault their support, they've been DMing me updates over Twitter and overall very friendly - but the company is just awful.
Friendly enough sure, but the fact they lost a fuckin' bass guitar is frankly astounding.

Did they compensate you? My biggest worry is that they're not going to give me any compensation and i'm going to have to dispute the ebay seller (which I don't want to do, since he seems like a nice guy).

I got compensated for the damages, yeah. I didn't get any real explanation about how it happened, though.

Oh there was also the time I paid them to deliver a drumkit and move it up the steps to our studio but the guy just outright said 'I'm not doing this' and just left it on the street and drove off.
After hearing all these problems of flatmates, I'm pretty glad I lived at home for uni (although, I don't have a job so couldn't pay rent unless I used all my student loan on it).
I've heard of tales of bad flatmates before though. One of my uni friend's flat is pretty cool. They each chip in and don't step on each others toes.
Alternatively, one of them who moved out from that flat into another flat (still at uni, and in the same year n'all that) seems to have downgraded. His flatmates cannot fix things to save their lives (like pulling door handles off kitchen drawers etc. Simple things!) so he ends up having to do it for them (and they break it again as a result).
When my girlfriend did a 6 month placement down in London, she had an absolute arsehole of a neighbour below her so whenever I went down there to see her (like once a month spending weekends or 5 days with her) we always joked about having loud sex to piss him off (we probably did that inadvertently anyway but whatever). Her flatmate (from the same uni and year) was pretty useless as well. He was told to get lightbulbs when she was back in Edinburgh with me for a bit, and didn't (the shop was literally 5 minutes down the road from their flat). He was also almost always late with the rent, and ended up not paying for the internet connection (he had hidden bill reminders and we only found them when he left and I helped her clean the flat up when she left) until a month after.
i have no issues with any of my housemates and i regularly have plenty of fun with them
Yodel are one of those companies I never use unless I can help it. They've lost a bass guitar that I had shipped over from Germany - they find it 3 months later and it is scratched to fuck and the neck is warped.
I'm like that with Parcelforce.
My mother bought a monitor for her PC ages back and we were out when it was meant to be delivered... so they decided to throw it over the side gate (which is 2m tall) onto concrete paving. Thankfully it wasn't broken (a real test of the packing foam) but there really was no excuse for that. It had "Fragile" tape all over the damn thing.
Then there was the time they were meant to have delivered our flat screen TV (back when they were newish) but it wasn't delivered for 4 days (despite their tracking system saying it was ready to deliver etc). We went to the local depo (which we were told it was there) only to be told it wasn't, and the guy in charge of the depo took us around to look for it (fair enough so far) only parcels were SPILLING out of those metal trolleys and onto the floor and he was stepping all over them (most with "Fragile" written on them) and didn't seem to give a flying fuck.

Yeah I'm pretty sure we'll be fine once I get them to understand how bills work, lived with them for 6 months in Halls of Residence and we seem to be good.
That being said it looks like I'll be on bug patrol because I came back from class one day to find both of them standing on a table because there was a spider on the floor.

I know a guy who hates spiders so much, he refused to open the hoover bag to get out the USB receiver for his wireless mouse because a spider was sucked up into it a day before.
He went out and bought a new wireless mouse instead...
Don't know how many, if any of you are interested in football, but holy fuck the Barcelona v PSG game was something else.
[sp]Shame it was ruined by those shitlords diving about the place and acting up to the ref.[/sp]

The ref was all over the place.
Didn't give the Mascherano handball penalty, but gave two penalties for Suarez diving.
The Vet says my dog probably won't be chasing a ball for at least a year, at least she's back to 20 minute walks now. :toot:

that's because you didn't pay for them to take it up the steps, you paid for delivery to the property. the guy could easily put his back out doing it and you expect him to do it for minimum wage? pull your finger ou and carry your weight
Has anyone here preordered or just ordered a special edition of a game from Grainger Games before? They're cheapest currently for Persona 5
Has anyone been watching Harry Hill's Alien fun capsule? Ainsley Harriott is on it tonight, should be good.

No? I paid the guys to move the whole thing into the main studio hall because I have nerve damage that makes my left side pretty much useless and definitely not able to shift an entire drumkit myself. Spoke to customer service in advance and they said it would not be a problem if we use business class, which we do. I even goit a friend to come and help him just in case.
Instead guy turns up, I sign for it and then he goes back to the van. Ask him what's up and he says he's not gonna do it. Tell him I paid for it and he just shrugs. Worth noting it was only 5 steps as well.
So yeah, I actually paid for this service and I damn well expected it.
I swear to god I just walked past Michael from Vsauce - I live in Bristol and I saw the spitting image of that guy.

He has a Doppelganger walking around
uni halls are a fucking nightmare. took them about a week to get a plumber out to this girl's flat in my halls and when he turned up he completely fucked the job, got shit on the floor, and used someone's frying pan to catch shit coming out the pan and left it. not to mention not fixing the problem and making it worse
i'm not a plumber by any means but how do you fuck up this badly?

Is your service provider UPP by any chance?
What would you lads say is the easiest way to get a job doing IT? I've went to college but I hear after that the best way into a job in that field is an apprenticeship. I'd honestly be happiest doing either tech support or making websites (thought I'd need to learn everything past HTML and CSS :v:)
Finally Friday chaps. Can't wait to do fuck all
I think everyone at work is kinda dead today, can't see a great deal being done this afternoon :v:
Although tbf everyone has really cracked on this week

Did no one tell you that the minimum age was 18?
What's Plymouth like these days? Never been before but I'm going to Paignton later this year for a week and might drop by.
