Bot flies attack mosquitoes and flies, pin them down and lay their eggs on their bellies. When a mosquito/fly lands on your skin, the heat your body gives off loosens the eggs and makes them land on your skin which almost instantly hatches the offspring. As soon as they hatch they burrow in your skin and begin to grow.
