Holy Christ, that looks amazing. I hope more games benefit from this, RPGs in particular. Also, I noticed the textures a bit, but honestly, you're not going to be staring and nitpicking every little mistake in the heat of things, not "Ugh, look at that low-res freckle on his face" or "Disgusting, look at that crap-looking fire-hydrant"; if the little things like that take you out of the moment that badly, I can't sympathize. I thought the way they did this was well-done, and matching the style of the game itself. I'm certainly pleased with it, and can't wait to play it.
3:22 That guy from The Walking Dead?
who is he in the Walking Dead? [editline]17th December 2010[/editline]
That's it I'm buyin a fuckin PS3
why?
Sorry, thought this was still a ps3 exclusive.
Those textures are so fucking shitty looking Jesus Christ, that's pretty much why this looks abnormal to everyone, this console shit is holding it back, the textures are basically zero, and the shaders are so flat. The only thing that bothered me is how the head moved just a bit independent from the body. But then I looked past that. HOLY SHIT.
Sorry, thought this was still a ps3 exclusive.
yeah like what Diet Kane said Get a PS3 anyway
Amazing, but I want this game on PC, ASAP.

why would you want a console with no games
Your point is invalid.
seems like someones a faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanboy. (not the above poster)
They haven't quite made it across the uncanny valley just yet. More work is needed.
Walter!
The technology looks awesome; but the in-game application of it doesn't look all too flash. Definitely an area with potential though. I would love to see a game where the player relies on reading body language and micro-expressions; "Lie to me - The game".
"meh" refer to the uncanny valley effect, to me they look a little fucked, and fake.
who is he in the Walking Dead?
Jim.
Jim.
it does look like him. i like how the guy who made the show put more personality into Jim
The rest of the faces look incredible, but the main detective's head looks really low res and out of place with his body, as if the head and the body aren't interconnected with each other and are being controlled by two different people. It just doesn't seem to flow properly. Still, the technology behind this is indeed incredible.
You're not going to be nitpicking it, but it will affect overall immersion, especially when the face animation is real-life quality, but everything around it is constantly pale in comparison.
I hope this doesn't end up like Mafia 2.

I'm so fucking tired of listening to PC elitists spewing out this bullshit 24/7. Take a look at these: [img_thumb]http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/1083/uncharted2amongthieves7m.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://www.videogamesblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/kratos-is-hd-in-god-of-war-3-screenshot-big.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://www.techarena.in/files/image/review/06_2010/Gears_of_War_3/Gears_of_War_3_Soldier.jpg[/img_thumb]
LA Noire? Maybe.. This technology really fits in The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim
It's good to have a game that doesn't make you a tough gangsters or law breaker, but the law.
While playing this game i'm going to keep thinking to myself "Is this better as a game? Or would it be better as a movie?"
Holy shit ass. Like someone said earlier i dont care about the textures that much because the graphics look awesome in any other case.
LA Noire? Maybe.. This technology really fits in The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim
it would work if they didn't do 10+ characters per voice actor
The expressions are amazing, but don't you think the textures on the faces could be a little bit better?
LA Noire? Maybe.. This technology really fits in The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim
Well you see that's a good idea until you consider that you need a different person for each actor, and you'll probably encounter hundreds of different people in Skyrim. You'd probably end up having to pay for 100 actors or something.
Hell yeah. I knew they were using some kind of face-to-animation direct link.
The head movements are too drastic compared to body movements, the overall graphics and so on. It just highlights how "flat" 3d world is in the game. Maybe if the materials were more high definition this could create a much better illusion of a movie scene maybe.
