The other post was the serious one. Or maybe your argument was so persuasive that I have just decided to cast of our lord and savior Jesus Christ and embrace Atheism. ALL HAIL SCIENCE.
Ah thank God you're not a brainwashed die hard christian. It's always pleasant to be wrong in these cases. But you do know the reason the people don't have any value to trade for food is because we take all the value from them right? We don't allow them to grow the food and keep it, we force them to grow the food for us and then we take it. We also force them to stay put in a low-end society and don't allow them to grow on their own, we just feed them with money that is in most cases spent wrongly by corrupt overheads, and they just rely on our money and thus doesn't really put an effort into living either because they just get everything from us. Had we stopped monopolizing the market, force third world countries to grow our food and then take it from them and just gived them the finger and told them to grow up on their own (with some benefits like the no tax market thing they already have so they can also afford to sell, well, some of them can at least) then they could have grown in to second and/or first world countries. But we don't let them but fool ourselves into thinking donating money to them will help with that.
By your logic of Communism being a product of the monetary system, Addendum is a product of the monetary system.
well there cant be any anti money movies without money
By your logic of Communism being a product of the monetary system, Addendum is a product of the monetary system.
Indeed it is, Coffee.
well there cant be any anti money movies without money
Took the words right out of my mouth. BTW, to some people who might not have noticed: Novistador is obviously a troll. Or totally fucking insane.
and you know nothing of environmental conditioning
"environmental conditioning" has nothing to do with what I said.
Yes it is, god made us die so we don't destroy his beautiful creation. That is the reason.
Credibility out the window.
"environmental conditioning" has nothing to do with what I said.
Yes it does. You're assuming things. Comparing something you know v. little about (as evidenced by your posts) to concepts that are totally different. You've been conditioned into thinking that money is absolutely necessary for society to exist and be just. During pre-history people just lived off the land. Now we can bring a similar phase about again through tech. Feed billions. Clothe them. Let them flourish into a volley of human creativity, which is the most beautiful thing.
The first one kinda sucks, my favorite is Addendum. It's totally correct, and people who don't agree are just puppets conditioned by the system to reject the idea of a civillized, scientific and sane society. Like the concept of money; money is essentially worthless. Everything has no price. It's just sitting there, waiting to be utilized. Resources could be used to eliminate all of the world's problems in some way or another, and always beneficial to everybody. Just gotta replace the flawed human governments with a cybernated network of production and distribution and voila! Everything's much better. Not a utopia, because people are still gonna argue, but about much more personal things, so it'd be much more peaceful and people wouldn't just die or be terribly disadvantaged because of how crap the system is.
The only future that's good for everybody is the future in which people have no choice. Because give them a chance and people will fuck each other over. That's just who we are.
"environmental conditioning" has nothing to do with what I said.
its very clear you dont know what you are talking about
The only future that's good for everybody is the future in which people have no choice. Because give them a chance and people will fuck each other over. That's just who we are.
But we can transcend being fuckheads! The only reason we are is because of our biological flaws, lack of information and the system. Problems mainly come from ignorance and lack of compassion for others, after all. Or lack of availability for necessities or luxuries or entertainment.
Credibility out the window.
Someone clearly hasn't read past the first page.
During pre-history people just lived off the land. Now we can bring a similar phase about again through tech. Feed billions. Clothe them. Let them flourish into a volley of human creativity, which is the most beautiful thing.
We already live off the land.
Yes it does. You're assuming things. Comparing something you know v. little about (as evidenced by your posts) to concepts that are totally different. During pre history we didn't need other people to gather materials for us because we don't have access to them. During pre history any exchange still involved bartering. Money is just a simplified bartering process.
But we can transcend being fuckheads! The only reason we are is because of our biological flaws, lack of information and the system. Problems mainly come from ignorance and lack of compassion for others.
How are you suggesting we fix this ignorance then? [editline]09:51PM[/editline]
Except in pre history we also murdered each other and took each others stuff to survive.
We also still do this.
Fuck that, I want to be immortal. Even if that means floating in space.
But we can transcend being fuckheads! The only reason we are is because of our biological flaws, lack of information and the system. Problems mainly come from ignorance and lack of compassion for others.
And ignorance and lack of compassion are inherent biological problems. The only way to make humanity work is to change it manually or have something else control it. [editline]09:53PM[/editline]
How are you suggesting we fix this ignorance then? [editline]09:51PM[/editline] We also still do this.
Exactly. Nothing has changed. Nothing ever will change, if we're the ones deciding things.
And ignorance and lack of compassion are inherent biological problems. The only way to make humanity work is to change it manually or have something else control it.
you arnt born that way. you learn things and you get compassion over time. its not like we are made that way its not in are dna to be jerks

This man says it best
I don't like the idea of scientists conducting research into how to extend the human lifespan with molecular nanotechnology and crap. There's a biological cap on human years for a reason. There's just no way the planet could cope with people living to 200 years of age or more. Food, water and oil are already precious resources, I wouldn't want to imagine how expensive they'd be in an inevitable population explosion. Unless we start colonizing space, which doesn't seem like it will be happening any time soon, where the hell would you put all these people?
Ecologically it's safe. So no, they should continue.
And ignorance and lack of compassion are inherent biological problems. The only way to make humanity work is to change it manually or have something else control it. [editline]09:53PM[/editline] Exactly. Nothing has changed. Nothing ever will change, if we're the ones deciding things.
not if we use science to solve things
I have a brilliant idea that will remove our choice, and make everyone guiltily aware of our shameful biological flaws, Catholic Monarchy, It's the only form of government that forces individuals to cast away petty selfishness in favor of benifiting the whole society, while making us aware of our shameful physical bodies. All that does is turn the catholics at the top into a bunch of fuckheads who rape children and persecute jews because no one will say a thing against them.. If people at the bottom are fuckheads, the people at the top are fuckheads. Give the job to the peasents, give the job to the aristocrats, give the job to me, you're going to have a fuckhead in charge and everything going to go to shit.
not if we use science to solve things
And why would I want things to change to such a lazy lifestyle the Venus Project promises? I love how it is now, we get a constant stream of good tech, we enjoy ourselves, we work when we have to because if don't work it's unhealthy. Life's in a perfect balance, changing it would just cause problems.
And why would I want things to change to such a lazy lifestyle the Venus Project promises? Half of us are working for no fucking reason on shit that doesn't matter while the other half of us are starving to death in shanty towns. What we need to overhaul the human system. Make ourselves smarter, less emotionally biased. Change the person, not the environment, because the environment doesn't fucking matter.
you arnt born that way. you learn things and you get compassion over time. its not like we are made that way its not in are dna to be jerks
Well actually, it is in our instincts to be cautious and not trust everyone. You could probably manage to have a human race working in peace for maybe... 5-15 years, but at some time some person will be jealous, get pissed off, act egoistically or whatever and cause a chain reaction from it, and whoop there goes that peace.
That catholic video is a satire right
This video is funny as fuck ahahahaha [editline]02:59PM[/editline] HAHAHA he's just saying that anyone who disagrees with him is uneducated and ignorant!
Thus we get t the crux of the problem, people are fucking stupid. We're bad at communicating and we're bad at learning. We're just bad at our job all around.

*Nods* I agree hard. We are WAY too populated.
And why would I want things to change to such a lazy lifestyle the Venus Project promises? Life's in a perfect balance, changing it would just cause problems.
Bullshit. First of all, technological development is tremendously constricted by the present system. Why? Because it would be totally unprofitable and technology effectively breaks this shit system down. Many people can not enjoy themselves. Their dreams constantly ruined by the sick world we live in. Money has been the bane of many. I have experienced that first hand, living a tough life away from the land of my birth ever since I was a young boy. I've had my dreams crushed over and over by this stupid system and it's absolutely disgusting the way our world is being managed, and damaged in consequence. Yes, we still do technically live off the land, but we're doing it the wrong way. The worldwide elite specifically make things scarce. People toil in their billions each day, most of them for peanuts. We're all fucking slaves. You say life's in perfect balance, and that's the last nail to your argument's coffin. The system makes people's lives absolutely awful in comparison to how they could be. Imagine all the things you could do. Imagine all the dreams you could fulfill. Disease-free immortality; post-humanity. We could all be gods. The only problems it would create is the fact that ignorant people like you would get in a fuss, and the elite being super-cunts over it. This needs to end. A new era of prosperity and development needs to begin, or it will be too late to fix it. The coming decades will decide the fate of humankind and possibly everything else on earth. Would you rather have a dying world, or a civilization spanning across the known universe? Humanity needs to be transcended. We need to strive to improve. Yes people will be selfish, but the only reason people commit heinous acts because of selfishness is because of the way the world is. In a sane society (which totally can be accomplished through scientific reasoning and application) the world would be a far better place and people just simply wouldn't act like retards because they'd know better than that. Right now our dear society is like a coliseum. It's fucking barbaric. Constant competition. It's like a cloth soaked in raw madness and the blood of untold billions of people.
