Universe 0 : Organisms 1
If you were a pizza delivery guy and got ordered to deliver to a star, it wouldn't even matter how cold the pizza is by the time you got there.
This is next-gen Noctis.
Exploring is all you can do and it is fun enough. My god, it's full of eye candy.
If only kerbal space program looked this good
This version also brings Oculus Rift support, should be pretty rad.
Imagine the black hole horrors.

You've somehow raped the quality though, all those artifacts

It is fantastic for "virtual photography". Would be cool to have a photo mode where you can set shutter speeds n stuff.

How do you get planets to look this good? My LOD is at -2 and it still looks mediocre compared to that.
you set it to 2 not -2 ya fud
this game is one of those games i'd love to play but i just can't cause i get too scared of it.
might also have to do with the fact that in my first 20 minutes of playing it i accidentally flew right into a black hole and nearly shit myself.
This trailer would have been BEAUTIFUL in 4K/1080p and 60fps though.
Could have gotten a lot more views with that.
My computer seems to not like loading the detailed stuff in this game. Planet surfaces are blurry, soft, ugly messes no matter what settings are on.

I downloaded the "Full resolution" version, but even that is 720p and 25fps, yet 1GB.
Too bad really, was hoping for a better version.

Looks badly exported anyways. I see interlacing lines. Wish it was remade by someone with more knowledge of the program.

Well this looks kinda cool
That looks pretty cool, I wonder how the game-play can be expanded to things other than just exploration.

I hope it stays as it is, the worst thing that could happen to this engine is that it gets bogged down with gameplay elements that take time and effort from refining its actual point
This game gives me massive anxiety attacks and scares the fuck out of me, but I love it.
Any tips to keeping your cool in this when your staring at pitch blackness since its been mentioned?

Get some balls and stop being scared by computer software.
"huehuehue this guy has a irrational fear, instead of giving him advice lets just troll him"
Why are you such an attention whore? "Look at me! I have a pretty common irrational fear! Everybody agree with me that descending into gas giants is so spooky!". If you know that you have an irrational fear, and that's OK, I'm pretty sure you also know that there is no "advice" to give. You just have it, that's all. I hate the taste of fish, but I don't ask for advice on it (read: tell everybody about how special I am that I hate fish). Stupid question gets a stupid answer.
I'm terrified of black holes and wormholes.
Red giants are cool as long as they're just stationary. The videos of them make them terrifying, writhing gigantic red masses of worms.

Sorry it's the red SUPERgiants that look horrifying, red giants are just big, red suns.

I seem to fly into black holes every 5 minutes. At least I assume that's what's happening when it crashes to desktop.
[editline]26th November 2014[/editline]
I think SpaceEngine would be pretty much the perfect space sim if it was more stable, and had relativistic simulation. At the moment you don't get any real sense for how flying around the universe would look.
Relativistic simulation would be something else....
I downloaded it after seeing the trailer, finally loaded it up just now to try it out only to realize 0.9.7.2 isn't out yet, and as such my drivers won't work. Was so hyped.
Edit: Apparently Nvidia does work, but not for me. Planets and objects all flashing randomly on my screen.
Edit: Going to update to 344.75 and see what happens

turn off planet shine, the flashing might stop
[editline]27th November 2014[/editline]
or set it to simple, having it on super caused asteroids to flash on my screen
Get some balls and stop being scared by computer software.
More like scared by the (vastness of the) universe and the endless void, not the software portraying it.

Did you install the nvidia fix?
Tried out 0.9.7.1 with the latest Nvidia drivers last night, works flawlessly.
