Y'know once I started paying for my own vehicle, these became a looooot less funny
I really hate turning lanes where you can yield on green lights where you can't see around the other turning lane, and especially when there's a huge truck in the way.
I don't know why, but after watching a sea of Russians crash into things, it's a bit relaxing to see local morons fuck up the most basic of procedure.
Pretty quick to call her a bitch there, I felt pretty sorry for both of them. Who knows what caused it.
I only feel sorry for the biker. The cause is simple, the bitch in the scion wasn't paying fucking attention and ran into the back of him. It's not like he had to panic stop or anything, it was a red light and he was stopped in traffic. I can't seem to figure out why nobody seems to remember that. [editline]1st August 2013[/editline]
What else is she supposed to say?
"I'm sorry, I was a dumbass and I wasn't paying attention". That's what I said when I had a similar crash at age 16, only I hit the back of an Expedition so no harm to them at all beyond a scuff on the bumper cover.
not knowing when to press the brake pedal
Don't know when to use the most important and second most obvious control in the entire car? Don't drive it. Simple.
[editline]1st August 2013[/editline] That or she mistakenly pushed the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal. Happened a lot to me.
lol, maybe it's because I didn't drive a slushomatic until 3 years after being licensed, but I have never confused the two pedals. The closest I've ever come is my large feet mashing both pedals at once, but that hasn't been a problem since I got into a vehicle that was designed with work boots in mind. Lemme guess...you drove with both feet all the time?
That is why we call these things accidents...
No. We call them crashes. An accident would be a tree randomly falling on your windshield while you drive down a country road. An accident would be a freak mechanical failure that causes you to slide into a ditch. An accident would be a lightning strike that fries your electric power steering. No, fat bitch had a crash. She was at fault. You even said it yourself why:
She wasn't paying attention.
The worst is that couple of seconds before she hit. There's no way you couldn't avoid that, at least try and warn the damn guy beforehand. She could've braked easily. Really just gotta face the facts that a good lot of our country's drivers choose efficiency over safety. I've seen people wreck while they were on their cell phones, try to leave, and wreck again.
Most of these seem to be visibility issues, and people not paying attention. Probably the most common reason given for a collision is "I just didnt see him" Several of these are people being just plain stupid.
"I'm sorry, I was a dumbass and I wasn't paying attention". That's what I said when I had a similar crash at age 16, only I hit the back of an Expedition so no harm to them at all beyond a scuff on the bumper cover.
So you'd rather have her not ask if he was okay? Yeah, it was unfortunate and yeah she should have been paying better attention. But calling herself a dumbass is not the appropriate thing to be doing right after an accident. She needed to find out if he was okay.
No. We call them crashes. An accident would be a tree randomly falling on your windshield while you drive down a country road. An accident would be a freak mechanical failure that causes you to slide into a ditch. Do some people never check what's around them before doing something? I'm surprised half the people in that video were given licenses. Looks like the guy at 1:26 who said "wow are you serious" was actually at fault since he should have been going for the far right lane.
They did mention it in Hot Fuzz, but apparently it's a real thing according to my driver's ed class from a couple years ago.
You would be correct. We've been told in our classes (reserve police) that it goes down on official reports as a "vehicular collision". Because Arizona is a no-fault state, if I'm responding to an accident and there were no witnesses and only the testimonies of the individuals involved in the accidents (I.E. everyone in both or multiple vehicles), I would have to ticket both parties with reckless driving/unsafe lane change/etc, regardless of who's fault it might actually be. That being said, if one party admits fault and the other party can testify to that, of course that individual is ticketed.
Jesus christ I already hate driving enough now I really don't want to drive
I hate double turn lanes. My driving instructor in high school was right to call them 'idiot lines' because man people just refuse to follow the turn into the correct lane sometimes. The only collision I've ever had was because some douche was sitting there like this (excuse the MSPaint) and he thought that he could be a cunning dickhole and cut in front of me, in the OTHER turn lane, before i could get there because he wanted to turn right after and apparently didn't want to wait to merge: So some dumbass just zoomed right the hell into the side of my car because he didn't even motion that he was going to do it, he just did like what an asshole [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] it cost me seven hundred bucks to fix my headlight and turn signal and my bumper got cracked and arghhh fuck that guy he was such a dick about it too

well i mean, he paid most of it, but he initially was trying really hard to get out of it
I couldn't help but chuckle when the two white SUVs bumped into each other pulling out of their driveways on opposite sides of the street.
3:58 my fucking god. That's literally one of the most terrifying crashes I think I've ever seen.

Times like these I think I might just put a full roll cage in my car with 6 point harnesses, I know I drive good but it's the other drunk, impatient, or idiotic people that will get me one day.
This is the worst I've ever seen.
I guess that was fatal.
I guess that was fatal.
Yeah unless they were incredibly lucky, that car just exploded. I can't see surviving that, there is no way they were ejected from the suv. The truck hit dead center on the cab of the vehicle, and that sad part is it doesn't really look like it was their fault, not speeding. Looks like they just hit a ice patch or hydroplaned on the slushy road. I saw this happen on a trip from Kenai to Anchorage, couple were driving straight and then their car just started to weave to the right and left, exactly like this but they got lucky and ran it into a snow pile. Said the car just started to go loose and by that point there usually isn't much you can do but hold on and hope for the best.
O_o
post of the year right here folks
This is the worst I've ever seen.
That...that SUV...it's gone I didn't even see any people, it just kinda...poofed...

Had to chuckle at :50, because that's exactly how I react when people ask me if I'm ok.
I think I might invest in a dashcam now too. Mostly to cap accidents if I ever witness one so I can upload it :v:
I think I might invest in a dashcam now too. Mostly to cap accidents if I ever witness one so I can upload it :v:
If you're lucky enough to upload it. :v:
Many of these happen because for some reason in the US you are alowed to drive by other cars on the right side. I most of Europe you can only overturn (?) a car on the left side and you are required to take the right lane when you have no reason to be on the left one.
Worst video I've seen is the video of a brick or something falling out of a truck and going through a car windshield, killing the driver. I'd post it but I'm worried I'd get banned considering the last person who made a post with it got banned.
Link that post.
Google, "Liveleak Brick Windshield" It's really bad and I wouldn't suggest watching it
4:14 seriously?
