Except that each Call of Duty is a full priced game. The episodes aren't. If each new Call of Duty was like $30, no one would have any problems.

The only cod game that was really bad, was MW3, that fell behind his previous releases in just about every way.
CoD MW1 was perfect in every way, both in singleplayer and multiplayer, still to this day played back and forth.
CoD MW2 had a good singleplayer, and reasonable multiplayer, falling short with game duration and a buggy multiplayer with certain ragequitting aspects, but still redeemable.
Black Ops (if you want to count it aswell) was good in every way really, much like MW1, managed to stay up, both in singleplayer and in multiplayer, even with a few troubles here and there with performance.
MW3 was a trainwreck. I'd gladly replay all the other cod's SP's again, but I haven't finished MW3's SP section at all. Just got bored probably close to the end. Multiplayer is the biggest hair pulling situation I've ever seen, with the lag and the GOD AWFUL MAPS
I can't stress this enough... GOD AWFUL MAPS. SERIOUSLY. AWFUL.
Just... Jesus fuck... awful... Most horrible maps ever. There are bad maps in other games that are better than these.
I will wait for actual gameplay footage and whatnot and see if this is worth roman coin.

the funny thing is when you think about it, out of 8 games only 2 are bad.....and MW2 isn't even insanely bad, it's just not as good as the first one but MW3 is a lot damn worse. Seriously the way people make it sound like it's like 7 out of 8 are bad even when it's 2.

It has nothing to do with wether I like CoD games or not. I got it waaay before BO2 started to look good, when the first trailers came to the light of day.
Those hypocrits I talked about are those who judge the bad and "bad" aspects of CoD games and then run back to games that suffer the same or even worse problems, and the people who don't know what they are talking about are those that just talk smack about the games and stuff related to them and in the end have never even played it.
Truth is, I could actually be heavily biased, I wouldn't be worse than the average bandwagonner who says the graphics suck and then plays something almost as bad as Revelations 2012.

what "looks to be" a decent game. I remember when the whole of FP was mega hyped for modern warfare 2 and it turned out like trash. Black Ops was trash. Modern Warfare 3 is trash. now the opinions are divided, about half of FP no longer buys CoD titles while the other half argues that they are worth it $60 a pop every single year. It's annoying for me to find posts on my facebook feed where my friends are talking about how great the next CoD is going to be, and how they drool all over the shoddy trailers. two or three weeks after release when I talk to them about the game at school, they've already dropped it and are complaining it's shit and frustrating, yet they still continue to buy them every single year. It's so dumb. I think I have every reason to complain about CoD, just like you have every reason to defend it if, in your opinion, it's actually a good game
modern warfare 2 was fun at first, but towards the end it was one of the most rage inducing games I've ever played on the PC. every single CoD title looks to keep that same old shit on the basis that it sold so well. the games are recycled and boring, and people should quit buying them.

mw2 was a fine game that seriously added to what cod4 had set on the table, people were just upset about the lack of dedicated servers and i really think it colored their perception of the game as a whole. there were a few notable balance issues but they never gave me problems, and most of them were patched quickly enough anyway
though i wont deny that everything after mw2 was basically on the same vein as yearly sports games. i've still got decently high hopes for blops2 though, not enough to buy it but enough to keep an eye on it
