It wasn't even the game in alpha that he died, it was because of a connection issue, he has the red desync chain on his screen.

That's Artemis for you, He has slightly improved the game although his ego/arrogance is annoying.
He used to bash warz/iss constantly and eventually joined as a community relations but than migrated to senior developer....The problem is he only makes changes towards the map aswell as changes lootspawns and believes he is the savior of the game(jesus).
I understand why he doesn't like the slow combat of dayz compared to iss because him and Summit1g used to play WarZ constantly due to the fast arcade twitch shooting pvp which reminds them of a full loot counterstrike.
Summit hasn't played Iss recently due to Hackers/Thirdperson Peeking.
Overall the ISS community hates artemis because he's shaping the game as he wants it to be.

Honestly, as bad as The WarZ was, it was at least entertaining to play with friends. At least... until hacks and exploits became apparent; then it just became downright unplayable.
Oh yeah, and the whole entire getting permanently banned thing for having my account broken into, but that is another story.
