I should've worded that better, but I'm fairly certain he literally didn't mean "Poor white people don't exist," as someone said earlier, it's that poor white folk don't experience (usually) the same amount of poverty than poor black folk do.

He is trivializing the plights of white people living below the poverty line. It's a slap in the face to white people like myself who live in one of the poorest cities in America. As if I don't have struggles because of my class. I LIVE in poverty, I GREW up in poverty, I've experienced racism against me because I am white, I know what it's like to be discriminated against and not be given the same chance as someone because of my skin tone. It's just sheer and utter ignorance to believe that poverty shields some of it's terrible assets because of race. It doesn't. Poverty happens to everyone, regardless of color. Racism can happen to anyone regardless of their color. It's an unfortunate way of life, and I'm sick of people trying to play into RICH white people's guilt by acting like poor black people are in any greater danger than poor white people. Class is the ONLY institution hurting America right now.
