Aaaaaaand everyone completely forgot about the stream delay again.
the game will end and it turns out this was all a social experiment
So it pretty much boils down to Democracy for the sake of progress, Anarchy for the sake of entertainment. Honestly I'm just glad something different is happening.
the game will end and it turns out this was all a social experiment
... as it said in the description since the beginning? Anyway we're out of the maze again.
the game will end and it turns out this was all a social experiment

TwitchPlaysPokemon is a social experiment, it is a stream of the Gameboy version of Pokemon Red (151 romhack) running on an emulator. An IRC bot translates buttons said in chat into keypresses (simulated in software, no fancy typist robots).
it says there on the stream page
Woah, the number of inputs really went down for some reason.
the game will end and it turns out this was all a social experiment
it's pretty obvious that it's a social experiment, it would be even if it didn't explicitly say that in the stream description regardless, it's a really entertaining one to watch and take part in
is chat broken? its not going at lightspeed
I actually like how he introduced democracy and anarchism. Don't know why people are bitching, it really reflects a lot about humanity and how people strive to work together instead. I think this is the most viewed twitch stream of all time for more than 24 hours. I know that the Starcraft 2 blizzcon finals was around 130k, and TI3 was about 800k, but that wasn't anymore than 12 hours.
As interesting as the anarchy / democracy choices are... I do think it takes away some of the charm. It's possible people will vote democracy every time we hit something difficult from this point on. The point of the stream will no longer be to see how far we'd get in utter chaos, but to just beat the game.
the chat just completely died for me can't even reconnect
it's really boring without anarchy, I was looking forward to see if they could make it through with all that chaos
what the hell is the "bupa" command?
what the hell is the "bupa" command?
B / up / A
almost there guys!
Next guy gets them the key doesn't he?
what the hell is the "bupa" command?
it's just b + up + a
what the hell is the "bupa" command?
I don't know but I'm voting for it anyway

Though I think if he just made it easy to vote anarchy and harder to vote democracy (so when people really really want democracy they can vote it) it would be better than how it was before and now.
91k viewers...
91k viewers...
its at 94k now and chat is broken
We're back to anarchy.
And anarchy is once again initiated
we got the key!!
Fucking got the keys, finally.
We got the freaking Lift key at long fucking last.
hmm it seems this "democracy" experiment failed, for every democracy there are 10 anarchy commands [editline]18th February 2014[/editline] oh the lift key has been obtained, but we are stuck in a corner
They need to heal now I think
