They ought to get lots of Revives and Full Restores and use them after they beat Lance.
I agree. REVIVE is costly, but it revives fainted POKéMON!
They might as well just keep grinding away at the elite four now, since they're pretty much guaranteed to win as long as they keep leveling up.
If they make an effort to buy healing items, it's most likely they'll end up being used at a time when they aren't needed. The money will all just be pissed away.
I've seen some people saying they need to visit the PC and get drowzee out, but honestly I think going to the PC just opens up the risk of even more releases, and next time it could be zapdos or pidgeot, which would set them back way more than drowzee would help
Bird Jesus Mirror Move'd Rage, and it was literally the best thing in the world.
I'd say the more they lose, the stronger they get.
We would probably beat Gary in 1-3 days.
tomorrow

they're going to be out of money before they manage to buy anything useful
I can't wait to miss the champion fight reaction

Rest is a "haha we're gonna waste your time as much as possible" move and the AI knows it.
Wow this is their worst run yet I'm leaving.
THEY DID IT
THEY USED SURF IN LOREILI'S ROOM
yeah that totally called for a victory lap around Lorelei's moat

??? you were right though. They did beat the elite 4 shortly after you posted that, but then lost to Blue and now have to do it again. Check the progress site.
Jesus, over 10k+ people without any coordination or sanity got to elite four? That's... actually pretty impressive. Modern typewriter monkey myth being tested how I see it.

oh shit, I forgot there was a guy after the E4 gauntlet

They actually do have a progress site set up and have been following various plans for how to accomplish certain things, even though they rarely succeed perfectly (ie: capturing zapdos). it still takes ages though due to a few people fucking about ('right' spammers during battles, etc) and the 20-40 seconds twitch delay, but i wouldn't call it all random.
they're doing pretty shitty right now though lol
The problem is Lorelei ends up weakening or KOing half of our team because of bad switches or people smashing a bad move or just because of bad luck, and Agatha always just comes in and sweeps up.
The lack of coordination really kills here, and it shows. That, and our bitter lack of any healing or revival items.
@ 4 am PST we should see some actual progress
I'm starting to think that without healing items there's no way they're gonna be able to beat Blue who has a varied team with whatever survivors they have left from the elite four. They really need to invest in a ton of items already (besides fucking pokeballs)

Nah man they gotta buy Poke Dolls

In yellow, with a level 100 zapdos (...with admittedly a better moveset) I was able to almost solo the elite four, no potions or anything. I believe I only had to swap out for the rock types. Since zapdos is already carrying the party it's only a matter of time before he hits that level
This blue has blastoise, right?

yeah Blue has blastoise, so sure zapdos would wreck it, but it just depends on if they can somehow keep it alive throughout the entire elite 4 (which is easier said then done with their random switching). they could totally win this if they'd just grab a bunch of revives.

I think the dexterity to switch pokemon is easier to manage than the dexterity to not only buy revives but use them at an appropriate time on an appropriate pokemon. The brute force overlevelling method should eventually work, if they can stop using fucking whatever it is that hits both pokemon at once
the elite four can only get easier from this point
the elite four is one of the best ways to grind and its only drawback (the inevitability of eventually losing against one of them and losing some money) doesn't really affect our run because buying and then successfully using items at the right time is nearly impossible
Ok, this run might have some promise. Just finished Bruno and the only one out is King Fonz. If we can take out Agatha without significant losses we might just be able to do this
Never mind folks, we're screwed
Welp AA-J is almost gone as well.
[editline]1st March 2014[/editline]
Andddd he killed himself. :suicide:
zapdos down, rip in piece

Yeah but you can't use a revive on a pokemon already revived right? if they just manage to buy enough they can just fumble about and spam it and revive their whole team after fighting lance. I don't think that'd be that hard give the other things they've pulled off. Just spamming start button will probably make it happen on accident lol
but now that I think about it, the longer this takes the better. shits still finding ways to be entertaining.
