For a while with Overwatch I thought class-based FPS would become the new trend, only for all other new seemingly class-based shooters to turn out to be MOBAs (Paladins, Paragon and Battleborn). At least there is still Lawbreakers and Overwatch, both look very promising.

Do you not even remember when RTS games were in the place that mobas are now? Where command and conquer and warcraft and stuff were the SHIT and seemingly everyone was trying to cash in with mediocre titles? And then later modern military shooters and MMO games took that place too?
what im saying is the industry goes through trends, if you don't like a trend, don't worry, it won't last forever. If you like a trend, it's not going to die totally, there are still good RTS releases for example.

Bulky characters with smooth futuristic armor in an overgrown ruin.
A gray and brown tactical shooter where everyone is wearing genericized USGI gear carrying generic wooden rifles in a generic muddy battlefield would be brimming with freshness and originality compared to this latest wave of substanceless shit.
There's a reason MOBA's use stylized characters. They're much easier to read when assessing game play situations. I feel like this game is going to look super pretty but end up being terrible for game play.
