Anyone who isn't impressed by this has ridiculously high standards.
i would play a lot of exclusives if they were ported to pc, honestly.
yeah, like Uncharted?
What's wrong with the sound in the video? Sounds like my speakers got broken or something but they aren't
Yes there is. Look at the start and end.
The ISA part is all nice with nature, colors and all, while the Helghast part is full of pollution, skyscrapers with a red/orange taint, Helghan flags etc.
Sorry, I just took a look at the ending again, and there was a wall. I honestly don't know where the hell this could take place if there's literally a Helghan and ISA side to the city. I don't think it'll be taking place on Vekta (unless the ISA sympathized with and allowed remnants of the Helghast to flee to Vekta?)
it's a railgun, you're literally shooting light at a person.
and you can clearly see there's recoil when he's on the rope shooting the pistol.

That's bullcrap. There is always room for improvement in graphics, better fidelity (more polygons), better textures and much more complex shaders.
Um, that's part of the point though. You can only revolutionize so much. Yes, we can improve a whole bunch, but you begin hitting a wall of performance for the visuals.
Yeah the graphics looks nice but that's about it. Besides that it just looks like Black Ops 3. Also I'm tired of them painting the Helghast as the bad guys and making them do all this stuff like execute prisoners to say "oh look how evil they are", despite the fact that the ISA took Vekta from them and then nuked their entire god damn home planet.
i just wish they would tell us what happened to hakha and luger

they didn't decide to nuke helghan on their own, the helghast was designing a super weapon that they were planning to use to destroy earth and before they could do that the isa intercepted it and destroyed it, causing the weapon to discharge and blow up.
are people forgetting that launch titles for the 360 and PS3 looked marginally better than the last few games of the previous generation? of course the first few games for the new consoles aren't going to look much better than what we've been seeing on PC the last year or two. In five years though, shit's gonna look awesome after developers are able to code up some new kickass engines.
I love the uncanny Far Cry 3 aerial knife kill and throw.
I feel like graphics have peaked. I remember looking at games like Crysis and Killzone 3, and being blown away. Now, pretty much every game looks like that. I don't think there's really a focus on graphics anymore, and I think that's a good thing. Now they can focus more on mechanics of the game world itself.
Shut up, we're still not doing unbiased light simulation in real time, and we won't be in the next 20 years. (Yes I'm serious)
There's a lot to improve on.

People said graphics peaked when the 360 came out, and when the PS2 came out, and...
Few points of the video really stood out, the explosion smoke is incredible and the texture/lightning when the soldier was down on the ground after the explosion also looked very cool.
Though, for me these games are looking boring/stale as fuck.
They also seem to have selective real-time reflections. The VTOL was visible in the reflection of the building, but the man leaning on the glass railing/wall wasn't reflected.

I fucking hate the Killzone series by this point, we are constantly reminded that "hey, you are actually the bad guys, now go commit a genocide of helghast because fuck you". ISA tried to create a Gulag out of planet Helghast and dump the billions of people of their defeated enemies there in hopes that the harsh conditions would kill them. Everything the Helghast have done so far is justified and understandable, they tried to take Vekta, their original homeworld. Make ISA pay for their crimes.
I don't know what the fuck Guerrila is trying to make us think, we are the bad guys and know it yet we still have to fight. Why did ISA bring nukes with them to Helghast? There were hints that ISA was going to pull Hiroshima and force Helghast to surrender. Then doop-de-doop, in the next game we commit genocide on a planetary scale. Forcing the Helghan people even deeper into misery.
Jesus fuck man, I don't even know anymore what's the point of this series at this point.
[editline]23rd February 2013[/editline]
I hope they let us fight for Helghast now
I want that they paint both sides good/bad.
Looking a the history of the Helghast, the ISA is actually the ones who fucking caused the Helghast to go mad

This, this is what i fucking want in my Killzone. It feels so powerful

Woop find this this as well. This makes it just look so silly.
The ISA (the guys you play as)
- imposed Taxes on the Helghast forcing them to rebel
- invaded and took over their world of Vekta
- forced the Helghast to live on the hostile world of Helghan
- then invaded their home world of Helghan
- killed their leader
- and finally, Destroyed Helghan and wiped out the population of the planet
Why do I feel the current Helghast look nothing like Helghast?

What you've seen are infiltrators, you're used with grunts that look completely different from them.
The infiltrators always looked like that
Killzone used to be so good. Now it feels like call of duty, and that's saying a lot because even call of duty looks funner then this.
[editline]23rd February 2013[/editline]
personally killzone 3 felt like it ruined the whole series

Guerrilla devs lost half of their brain capacity after the first killzone game.

Actually you have to blame Sony, they mentioned before that they want to work on other projects but they want Killzone to promote everything. KZ 2 for PS3, KZ 3 for 3D and KZ "4" for PS4.
Pieter de Man, a dev from Guerrilla i know actually left the place because of that. Nothing wrong with the company but Sony is sort of taking over about what the studio should do :v:
I guess Killzone is the same as Halo huh? :v:
Dem smoke physics.

God I love the second one, though.
ISA: Bad
Helghast: Bad
ISA: Bad
Helghast: Bad
ISA are dicks that screwed over a giant corporation that tried screwing them over financially, and exiled them to some hellish wasteland. The Helghast are dicks that went genocidal facist mode to try and gain revenge on the ISA beyond sensible reason and slaughter civilians and P.O.W.s as a past-time.
Both sides have ups and downs, but the Helghast win out in douchebaggery only due to how the people in-charge are very willing to slaughter their own men due to expendability, while the ISA are a lot more conservative about those values. Not to mention, the ISA didn't exactly have a [sp]power-mongering scientist taking charge of the military and creating a depopulation bomb with the intent of racial genocide and extinction.[/sp]
I hope atleast story line will be damn amazing, Maybe like the protagonist actually thinks about all the shit ISA has actually done and starts wonder is there any good in there.
Or something other than mindless killing of the "baddies". The bad guys ISA made.
Also Killzone 3 ending pretty much ruined the franchise in my opinion. You all who played it know what i am talking about. Well killzone 3 story altogether was pretty shit.

I view Stahl and his forces as their own faction, since he [sp] made the petrusite bomb without the Helghast government and regular military knowing about it [/sp]

Last two are pretty inaccurate, and shouldn't even count as the ISA being evil. Why? Because Rico, on his own, NOT the ISA as a whole, killed Scolar Visari. The ISA's original intent was to try Visari in court for his crimes. Also, Visari dealt the first (beginning of the end sort of thing) major blow to his own people during Killzone 2 by nuking Pyrrhus. Then, the Helghast's own Petrusite weapon was incapacitated and blew up in low-orbit over Helghan. Although the ISA are pretty far from being "good", when it comes to defending themselves from being purged, they are not to blame.
But I really would like to see a Killzone game where you play as the Helghast. It would be great to see the war from the other side.
Killzone 1's intro movie is probably the only one I had no problem watching every time I started the game.
Have big rousing political speeches as the intro to your game is a stroke of genius.
