For some reason this post seems really angry, I think what he was trying to say is that people reacting like the guy in the video and you are isn't being constructive. To each their own, its fun and nothing more. If a song really makes you feel that terrible then turn off the radio.

Usually "not everybody has the same musical tastes" is an argument [I]against[/I] songs being called objectively shit. I've certainly never seen it used as a premise to argue that point.

I do think that mainstream music has become a very dull affair tho. Lyrics are mostly dumb as hell or repeated, and some don't even have lyrics now days. I just stick to movie soundtracks myself to escape it all, altho I do enjoy them when I am out.

Also, all the people saying "well these are just nonsense songs for playing in clubs and in public" are neglecting the fact that a) he mentions this in the first entry, b) this video isn't entirely serious itself and c) for a lot of people, the lyrics are what they listen to in a song.
