it's not terrible, but the premise is old (heh) and has been done plenty of times before, and it didn't need to be 10 minutes long, they could've easily shown only the best reactions

Its good to see people have fun with games like this. I feel like the people who didn't enjoy it just simply don't see the appeal of breaking the rules, letting lose in a violent way. The others who did like it for the most part realize a game is whatever you make of it. Considering how much fun they had with it, giving people the gift of gaming is pretty cool.

it did a great job at showing them slowly starting to enjoy it. Sure there's always going to be criticisms, but this video is definitely thread-worthy
And this is the only channel you can find seniors playing and giving their impressions on games, so I don't know what you're talking about when you say "it's been done plenty of times before"...

If there was one thing in all of gaming I wish I could make non-gamers understand, it is that GTA comes from a place of satire, ridiculousness, and the fun of being free to do whatever dumb shit you want. It is not a hateful game, and it is not made by hateful or bloodthirsty people.
I don't like TheFineBros, personally I think they are assholes.
However, I do enjoy some of their Elder React videos, and that is about it :/

Can't say SA is any better but the rest is pretty spot on, regardless of how much some people are gonna try to deny it - which doesn't mean a few people will genially have their reasons for not liking them, not 'peer pressed' reasons. It's just an internet thing I guess.
I just remembered the time my grandma played Vice City on my uncle's Xbox.
She actually managed to get a 4 or 5 star wanted level.

Seriously, GTA3/vc/sa/4(ones ive played) all had fucking AMAZING writing and stories that had depth and real character to them.
Honestly GTA4, as much as people dislike it and I can understand why some people do, its one of the best written games with some of the best characters ive ever played. Its not like some revolutionary story, but its so fucking well written that its comparable to the top rated mature crime movies made.
If more people took the time that shit on GTA who dont play it, actually fucking played it

It does though, especially GTA4. Sure it can be a bit wacky and exaggerated, but they do a fantastic job.
When it comes to GTA 4 (And 5 as well) I get the wonderful sensation that I'm playing an interactive movie. During cut scenes I can see it being played well as a movie. I felt bad for some of the characters, and happy for others. I hated some and loved others. The way any story should make you feel about its characters really. If you don't care about anyone, then someone somewhere fucked up either in writing or bringing it all to life.
I haven't played any of the older titles. I have them all on Steam but I can't stand the god awful Mouse/Keyboard controls so i've been holding off to buy them on PS2. Not to mention that huge shit storm R* caused when they patched San Andreas and ruined half of the game.
