not that impressive tbh
this trailer makes dark souls 2's trailer look like absolute garbage in comparison
God, it really does look like what people were hinting at before, and alternate sequel to the first game after the flame has been abandoned.
I'm happy to see the combat look as fast as DaS1, but I'm also glad that it isn't full on bloodborne. The rolling sound alone brought back happy memories. I'm also curious about the inclusion of impaling that large enemy with what is obviously a more pristine/less burnt the fuck up bonfire "sword" (I know it's not a sword but I can't remember the word). It's definitely the one we see in bonfires in DaS1, hole in the handle and all.
GIANT SKELETON KING Also I will probably get shit for this but i hope they cut down the stat management. VIT, END, STR, DEX, INT and FTH is all you need imo.
I'd prefer they keep attunement because having it tied to int/faith gives you way too much bang for your buck. Half of the thing that balances casting is the need for attunement slots if you want more spells, due to the inclusion of magic scaling melee weapons available. Resistance could be brought back if they actually made it useful, perhaps helping with reducing stamina usage from blocking/parrying and reducing the buildup of certain effects AND having an effect on the damage/duration of effects after they're triggered.
Wtf that big skeleton head is freakin creepy I hope that Pvp is more like dark souls 1, DS 2 pvp was horrible

Not only does it look similar (a bit thicker probably due to not being inside a bonfire for an unknown amount of time) to the ones in the bonfires in DaS1, but he plunges that fucker in to a big dude and it starts burning shit up as if he was about to make a fire. oh when you said impaling the first thing that came to mind was that grab attack the boss did

Punishing backstab fishers is really easy, and it's all about anticipating what you're opponent is going for. I find it much more preferable to DS2s slow paced pvp.
Looking good. Just make it more consistently difficult and more concise than DSII and I'll play.
This whole placing your own bonfires thing we've been hearing about, how do you even handle that in your first blind playthrough. You'll have to push your health and item count to the absolute minimum before you even think about using a bonfire sword. I like the idea, since it reinforces the whole enduring tired undead thing, but I'm not sold on it yet.
Haven't felt this much hype since
Haven't felt this much hype since
Ugh, that trailer music though. I mean, the music isn't bad, just really unfitting.
Max spoopiness. I want this game to spook my guts out.
If they wanna spork us, just bring back skeletal beasts.
Couldnt tell what the lady was saying towards the end, something about the lord souls? If so then I guess nito decided to get huge this time. Big wet nurse looking thing probably has something to do with the witch, though I hope its not that formulaic.
:speedfap::speedfap::speedfap::speedfap::speedfap:/5. 2016 can't come sooner than this! The fact that the Giant Skeleton King didn't attack the character on sight means that it might be a friendly NPC, or something akin to Dark Souls I's Priscilla. Will she even return? As much as people want to complain about dudes in armor as bosses, I'd like some of that back, unless they were tied to key lore elements like Gywn's knights ala Artorias or one Lord of Cinder that's the best weapons fighter or something.
I'm loving the seamless animations
If they wanna spork us, just bring back skeletal beasts.
You mean wheel skeletons.
You mean wheel skeletons.
Never really had a problem with wheelybones
I always say I'm looking forward to new dark souls games but lets be real, I'm not good enough at them to get very far.
resolution really stood out imo
I really like the looks of this. The gameplay seems solid but the graphics could use a bit of work compared to most other big 2015 titles. Doesn't really matter in a Souls game though, but it'd still be nice. I seriously hope the framerate's unlocked on PC this time around, and with no weird ass engine-tie bugs.

Fuuuck hurry up and pass, time.
They recently said it was locked 30 IIRC.
On console probably, I can't imagine the PC version will be locked to 30 considering DS2.
The main thing I noticed was the amount off aliasing...
Those rolling animations were dope as fuck
I don't care if they've taken some points from Bloodborne, BB did loads of things right compared to Dark Souls. I just want amour and shields back please!!
The main thing I noticed was the amount off aliasing...
Well at least you can be reasonably sure they recorded it on a console then :v:
Why is the fluted armor being in the game such a point of contention? All from games have references to other from games. I doubt bloodborne is in the same universe as Armored Core just because it has Patches.
