Also she explained this in her video about subject and object. Mario is the subject. He runs through the world, jumps on goombas, goes through pipes, and saves the day. You are in control of his character and get to experience the power that comes with being Mario. Peach is the object. She exists as a literal objective in most Mario games. She doesn't have much of a character or do anything other than get captured then get rescued and when you rescue her you beat the game.
Again, the point isn't that Nintendo is mysogynistic or evil, just that they rely on lazy writing to set up the plot and gameplay for video games they make.

Nobody accomplished anything here, not even the social justice warriors who poured tons of cash all over her. Nobody except Anita herself anyway. She got loads of money and jumped ship because nobody can do anything about it. Yes, she made a single video. In an entire year she made a single video when she told her backers she was going to make several parts. She even said she was going to use the money to make even more videos. You'd have to be pretty optimistic to think she's going to finish it considering it was supposed to be finished months ago. She dedicated so much time to it because she's a good salesperson.
So when she makes her second video and the third one takes several months to finish, are you going to accuse her of again jumping ship?
There is no optimism to it, I just like the idea that people are innocent until proven guilty, and I don't think she has "jumped ship" just because her videos are taking longer than you personally would like them to.

Considering how it would only take a few weeks at most to make a video of equal or greater quality, yes. Maybe she didn't completely abandon the project but it's clearly not important enough for her to finish in a timely manner or even at all.

it's a series with a theme. it isn't as simple as just hitting [rec] on the camera. she has to play the games and organize the videos in a coherent manner. watching the op's video and noting the lack of thesis and point shows you what happens when you try and make a persuasive or analyzing video in 2 days.

Yes it takes time to make good videos, but it's been over a year. There's a ton of people on youtube with significantly less production value than her that put out quality content on a pretty regular basis.
