stop arguing pednatics
ugh it's pedantics, get it right!!
Yes you did. "the fact you think women don't have it worse off or "it's not that bad" " Not once did I even say anything like that, or even say anything that could even give you the idea I think that. Why would you even do that?
well I've been reading the thread and you guys been discussing women in employment and you said that:
You need eyes to see, a brain to live, there is gravity, the earth orbits around the sun, you will die if you dont eat/drink anything, you will die if you dont sleep. These are all 100% true, thats why they are called [sp]facts[/sp]
the situation of women in workplaces is a fact and I think enough source was given on the previous pages, I don't get that whole "100% fact" bullshit. you're just playin around with words really. It's something that exists and it's a reality, that makes it a fact. If you consider that the fact RoadOfGirl was showing you through sources with precise numbers isn't true then that's just like saying women don't have it so bad. This is what could give the idea that you'd think that. sounds to me just like you got mixed up cause you don't really know what you're arguing about here.......
if you thought that they did indeed have it much worse off you would not be arguing these points with me and i wouldn't have had to link to statistics showing they are worse off (which you ignored WOW!)
I actually read those sources, good reads, why are you making assumptions?

Max stated that women are judged on their looks everywhere, HoodedSniper said that he doesn't so it shouldn't be stated as a fact, RoadOfGirl replies by telling him that some workplaces are sexist (and therefore by the association fallacy, all of society is sexist I guess?). He was arguing against a hasty generalization that includes himself in a negative light, and this workplace stuff got dragged in there. And while we're digging through the thread:
Nothing is 100% true. The concept of absolute surety is asinine.
Here's something that's "100% true": what you said there is false. You're ignoring the entire concept of a tautology, which is true in every possible interpretation. Obviously "100% true" is a poor way of wording it, but the entire fields of math and logic are based around things that are absolutely true.
He was arguing against a hasty generalization that includes himself in a negative light.
max was pointing out what was wrong with how women are seen in society, it's nitpick to think you're a special snowflake that isn't sexist and that it should be mentioned. The problem is sexism exists, not that x or y isn't part of it or believe they aren't part of it.
I actually read those sources, good reads, why are you making assumptions?
you did not address them

[editline]7th May 2013[/editline]
you did not address them
I didnt address them because they havent been relevant to at all what I was talking about, which was Max's terrible generalization, but it was still a good read.
So wheres the facepunch feminism thread simulator video?
