My ships never really go past extreme blockyness, though I kinda had the same problem with Minecraft anyway. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4249868/ShareX/2014/12/starmade-screenshot-0002.png[/t] Still loving this game.
Do we have a starmade thread?

I'm glad this is coming along, because Space Engineers really doesn't scratch the same itch.
Anybody know what the difference between the demo and the paid version is? Because I've been playing the demo, and it doesn't seem like any features are locked or anything.
Bought.
Looks like eve minecraft
I seriously hope they fixed the bug where planets couldn't be flown.
I seriously hope they fixed the bug where planets couldn't be flown.
If they ever introduce motor/servo blocks like in Space Engineers, turn a fucking planet into unicron
Oh dear they changed the blueprint system, I can't finish my ISD now :v:
Oh dear they changed the blueprint system, I can't finish my ISD now :v:
At the moment you have to place each block individually, but they're working on a shipyard system where it automatically constructs them for you.

I'd been using bps to keep working on it on different servers, and I can't get to my save that has all the hull pieces and shit. It has a lot of hull pieces in it... [editline]5th December 2014[/editline] The non-steam version won't start anymore, that's why I can't get to it.
So what comes in the free version now?
Damn it has come far. Really enjoyed it when FP had a server. In my opinion so much better than Space Engineer. The way you can build your ships and the size is just crazy.
Wow, I could fulfill my dream of piloting the Rectifier from TRON.
I built a ship on this game for weeks. It got so big and developed that it became a hub for all my friends to dock and utilize. One day I left the game open and the ship had drifted off. Never to be seen again.. Since that day I haven't played at all.
You've given yourself a main quest. Find it. Explore what remains of it. It's probably picked apart and damaged and in tatters. Maybe she's still alive, still breathing, waiting for her owner to return to her I honestly expected this game to go no where. Space Engineers was announced, Minecraft is still the king of Block-based sandbox games. I figured it would drop off the map. And it did. But what a come back. It looks like a completely different game, with actual features done well. Bravo. My only complaint is there's basically no effect for destroyed blocks. They're just gone. Overlaying sprites on ones that get destroyed would be nice, with different sized sprites for different sized groups of destroyed blocks so that if 200 get destroyed there aren't 200 individual sprites to lag your ass out [editline]7th December 2014[/editline] Gave the demo a try. This game will cook your CPU, at least the Tutorial area does, and it's not even that detailed like the video.
Honestly, I think this game right now might be a better game than Space Engineers, just because of the networking and backend stuff. It handles massive ships a lot better, it handles multiplayer a lot better, and it seems to have a pretty solid logic system. I've really been enjoying it. I've been playing on the Red-Shift server, by the way. Stuff gets hectic with 40+ people at once, but it's really fun.
I'd like to get into this a bit but flying to a planet causes the game to just lock up and become unplayable from the moment it first starts loading until you fly close enough that it finishes fully loading, which takes a while freezing and locking up the entire time
