Building a firearm with items that can be bought in an Airport

would do more damage to yourself than whoever you're shooting at

Although, no doubt this guy is on some watch lists.
it's not really pointless, any firearm or c4 would be 100x more deadly than that.
I love how he uses Axe as the explosive in both designs.

All of his explosives uses Axe lol
Ban axe from airports.
Explosive decompression isn't as deadly as it sounds usually.
As long as the integrity of the aircraft is sustained. Unbuckled passengers being sucked out of the hole, maybe 3 seats if they aren't bolted in well or are just weak, debris being sucked into an engine, stalling the engine, possibly causing a fire. A drink trolley flying out and taking off half of the elevators at the tail
All kinds of nasty shit's possible from one, and they've brought down planes before
this is like some kind of ork gun or something
maybe it wouldn't blow up if enough people believed
maybe it'd blow up larger
[editline]26th November 2013[/editline]
if you look at the slow motion the gun is actually intact

that explosion is boss though
It's just a proof of concept. It has zero practicality whatsoever unless you somehow gained access to the cockpit, locked from the inside, and snuck up on the pilot without him realizing there's a smoking, hissing object behind his head.
Not to mention the co-pilot.
ok how the hell did you come up with that scenario
It IS a firearm guys.
After he shoots it, his arms will be on fire.
Quite the craftsman.
He doesn't need to use axe. I think any compressed gas can would do the job.
I have to give him point on his resourcefulness. It's not a skill that he'll get to use in his everyday life, but certainly if shit goes down, he'll be able to defend himself.
I can just imagine his home being covered in makeshift bombs and tripmines.

The only thing to say to your victim upon shooting them with this.

if you could get your hands on C4 it would be virtually undetectable.

This is kind of a bad argument. Yes, hypothetically and with quite a bit of effort (than can be relatively easily fucked up) you might be able to make something that is technically a firearm and potentially kill someone. But the better question is, will anyone actually do that? And, even if they do, will it be at the same rate as with conventional firearms? That's what you should be investigating. Not just "will there be any harm at all".
I mean after all you can never really reduce crime/violence/etc. to zero, but you can certainly do stuff to make it happen less often.

I'm not sure about you but If I wanted to take down a plane id bring plenty of coffee can grenades.
Now that's what I call a "Soda Popper".

I guess you might but then why does no one actually do that?
Not really a firearm considering you wouldn't be able to hold and fire it without blowing your hand off.
It is called a firearm, because it sets fire to your arm when you shoot it
An improvised flamethrower with Axe and a lighter would be terrifying on a plane.
For some reason this made me miss junkyard wars
We need more shows about making shit out of other shit
ok how the hell did you come up with that scenario
it was me showing the only practical way this weapon could ever be used. that scenario would never happen.
Oh hey, Faure.
I love Faure

The TF2 Emporium is likely working on it as we speak. So we'll see that new model in about 3 years, then.
I'm pretty sure the gun remains intact, it's just that it was very light and the recoil sent it flying off the table.
Did nobody watch the video
he says it survives, and has a followup video that shows it intact.

Here's the gun after it fired along with the shell itself.
So the gun didn't blow to bits? Looked like it
I'll stick with pressure cookers
I have to fly next week.
Fuck you
