This depressed me horribly. God dammit they were still alive when they were torn apart :saddowns:
You don't NEED to feed the goddamn turtle live rats. It happens in nature, but a 20 gallon tank is not nature. I have a turtle, and I feed it pellets. Not live animals that don't even get a chance to survive.
He's putting it back into the wild, he has to ween it into eating live things or else it won't know what to do and will be all bass acwakrds when it gets out there.
Whoever made this video is a sick fuck. End of story. Rage.
I would rather be killed at a slaughter house than killed like that. [editline]08:04PM[/editline] 2:45 is the most horrifying thing I can ever imagine.
Mice are dumb, what was it planning to do when it got to the top, escape and invest in a wheelchair? Silly mice.
Mice are dumb, what was it planning to do when it got to the top, escape and invest in a wheelchair? Those poor mice trained all that time just to get fed to a lazy vicious turtle. Jesus i can't believe i'm watching how they drown getting ripped in half.

Goddamn nature is brutal. It's fucked up how those rats still keep twitching even when they've been torn limb from limb.
Why couldn't it have bite off it's head and end it's misery
Thats cruel and tasteless. If he wanted to release it in the wild put it in his fucking backyard and let him try to CATCH the mice, not feed it to him. Might as well have been dead mice.
That was awesome! I want to see it get fed something else too!
I'm scared of people who don't value a life (Especially people with a gun). Using that example is like a kid at school thinking he is "cool" for smoking. And maybe I haven't had the "real shit" in my face or done it, but maybe you should grow up mentally and realize that laughing at this video is savagery.
To be honest, it is as simple as: Survival of the fittest.
At first I thought it was going to be a rickroll, I was horribly wrong :(
To be honest, it is as simple as: Survival of the fittest.
you're not making sense So would you say a person who is more fit to kill another is 'fitter'? (unless you're not describing humans) besides, this video is a terrible demonstration of 'survival of the fittest'
To be honest, it is as simple as: Survival of the fittest.
This wasn't survival. Had this been nature, the rat(s) would have had the option to run away. The feeder dropped rats in a small enclosed space with no escape. That is cruel. Again, as I said earlier I have a decently big turtle of my own, and he only eats the bugs outside and turtle food. The man I spoke to at the pet shop told me to NEVER feed the turtle live food unless its necessary because pets can die from illness. My stepfather lost a very dear to him boa constrictor because of that reason. TLDR: There are options, and the turtle wouldn't forget how to hunt.

So heartbreaking watching them try their best to swim back out, all in vain. As I watched my cat decided to come up to my leg. Sickening. How that rat was still trying to swim upwards as it left its back end behind truly shocked me. And then the turtle ripped it's head off. I think this is animal cruelty. You can say it's feeding but the video's intent was to shock and disturb. It wasn't just feeding. The owner was doing that for pleasure. Sick as fuck.
I feel sick now.
Bah, you people are boring.
Yeah you're so cool man, looking at rats getting ripped apart and liking it! I wish I was as heartless as you!
I didn't realize snapping turtles were so fucking brutal. It enjoys it too.
Sorry I had to...
Yeah you're so cool man, looking at rats getting ripped apart and liking it! Which is why we HUMANS kill our prey first before eating it. That's why we are the dominant species. We are not barbaric like a crocodile when it comes to eating
Turtles are fucking brutal fellas. [editline]08:23AM[/editline]
Which is why we HUMANS kill our prey first before eating it. That's why we are the dominant species. We are not barbaric like a crocodile when it comes to eating
We are not the dominant species because we kill our prey first before eating it. We killing our prey before eating it because we are the dominant species. We have our time, our pray has no chance. Animals are often used to hunt in sub-optimal environment. The turtle has to make sure it gets fed before other predators smell the bleeding prey. Wasting time for meaningless things might be the difference between the fittest and the rest. Evolution is a bitch and when it comes to survival, it's brutal.
