I thought this was going to be an anti-landmine add. Instead it's a "don't fucking slack off or we'll throw you into a minefield" ad
As an Australian, I can tell you we have a good reason for landmines on our beaches. All of them, by the way, not just government ones. It's because bluebottles fucking suuuck.
The actual point of this advert is to show that if you slack off, you won't be able to read. From that, they weren't able to read the sign saying "Explosive testing site". These guys made the best adverts, like the "It's a Snap" one for Central TAFE.
Aren't testing sites usually guarded by patrols?
No, and this is completely normal. A road I drive down on a weekly basis is bordered by chain link fences with signs warning of unexploded ordnance on the other side (firing range near Holsworthy barracks). The only thing unrealistic about this ad is the probability of getting 3 consecutive detonations in such a small space of time and so close together.

Jesus tap-dancing christ, I had my headphones way up. Was expecting a shark attack or something, but damn.
Competing with Canadian PSAs I see.
um what the fuck is this
That was kinda cool.
When they started blowing up, I was like haha oh wow. Then when it said, "this is what happens when you slack off, stay in school." I was like "ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??????"
its satire
So if i don't go to school i end up walking on a mine killing myself? :v:
Aren't testing sites usually guarded by patrols?
Not really, i once got down a step hill on my motocross and followed a trail that pass tru a wrecked fence with no warning or anything, once down my shifter lever broke so i was stuck at 5th speed and was forced to push my bike for like 2 hour and there was no way i could push the 300lbs biker up such a step and rocky hill, untill ive entered a large flat zone and saw a few bomb on the ground but most likely disarmed, checked around and saw a sign saying "Danger: explosive test zone" or something like that, it was the only path so i tried to stay on the corner as possible and say hopefully there is no mine, still it lead nowhere just fences so i was forced to call the base millitary police to pick me up.
When they were messing around inside the van I was just waiting for the Slasher to turn up, but the end was so much better.
am I the only one who thought it was gonna be a beer commercial
I posted this on my personal forum.
O.O I...I... Um. I think... Xen's... Lost it. I... Um. Wow. Take this down you insensitive and disgusting excuse for a human being. I am disgusted. What if you were enjoying time with your friends? I've seen what you've posted in "Pictures of you". What if 5 seconds after those pictures one of you was shot. Then another. You sicken me. Human life is valuable. And watching this makes me wonder why the hell you posted it. For a joke? You think it's funny? Or are you serious about the message? Slacking off can kill you right? I'm beyond words. I hope you enjoy how you just made yourself look Xen. I can't believe you would support something like that. Life is valuable, and people sometimes make mistakes, but this is too much. Please Xen, take this down before your scarring influence spreads to others. Please. I'm begging you.
WHATIDO
After I saw the fence and the sand I was just waiting for the landmines. The "stay in school" part was hilarious, I don't why you guys take it so seriously.
They managed to get pretty far without setting off any mines, though.
