lol because saying that you find one specific thing funny objectively is explaining the "concept of comedy"
exaggeration inappropriate response those are two KEY elements to comedy.
It's a form of comedy, not ALL comedy.
they are two of the most widely used methods in comedy watch any comedy movie and the odds are they will both be used multiple times
You guys know this movie is out already right?
If the humor is in inappropriate response, then why did somebody say that it was a non-retarded reason, why did nine people agree with him, why did the guy who said it was a dumb reason for violence get 9 people disagreeing with him and 6 people who consider that statement outlandishly stupid?

I don't give a fuck what people think about this movie i'm going to see it because this is how i feel about life in general at the moment.
What.. I know the girl at 0:56, she was at my school and went on to be an actor when she left.
The first 51 seconds looks like a great movie. Then it just gets too much... In my opinion.
inappropriate response isn't a retarded form of comedy, it's a corner stone of it.
you missed my point... inappropriate response means doing something for a retarded reason, yet the majority of people here clearly don't think the response is inappropriate
you missed my point... inappropriate response means doing something for a retarded reason, yet the majority of people here clearly don't think the response is inappropriate
Could you pull that stick out of your ass and relax?
you missed my point... inappropriate response means doing something for a retarded reason, yet the majority of people here clearly don't think the response is inappropriate
nobody who actually watches this movie (aside from the mentally unstable, perhaps) will say "i completely agree with the main characters and I wish someone would actually kill hundreds of people simply for appearing ungrateful, immature, etc, etc." it's a movie. its meant for fun. fictional people killing fictional people for inappropriate reasons is funny. nobody is going to say: "yeah this movie was hilariously awesome; but lets take a moment to seriously reflect on how it definitely would not be funny if crazed gunmen started a killing spree in our real world"
I haven't seen a Magnet movie that let me down. Hopefully the trend continues with this one.
Could you pull that stick out of your ass and relax?
I'm perfectly calm, everyone seems pissed at me for thinking it looks dumb
I'm perfectly calm, everyone seems pissed at me for thinking it looks dumb
hey dude it's just a movie
hey dude it's just a movie
I know.
Is it bad I want to see this just to see the Westboro Baptist Church getting shot?
Falling Down will still be better.
This is shaping up to be my favorite documentary.
Just watched this movie - fucking awesome Expecting a generic "killing spree" movie with a half decent concept, I didn't expect it to have such depth I actually nearly cried at the beginning when I found myself empathising with the main character
-nah btw-
What?
Holy shit this is like my ideal fantasy
Just watched it, that was fantastic!
Just watched this movie, the relationship between Frank and Roxy was a tad undeveloped and Roxy seemed like exactly the type of person Frank would want to kill (she cursed about every five seconds.) The ending also lacked closure, they at least could have shown how people reacted to the news (link Frank's family) in the credits really quick to make it feel finished, or show if their message got across with a quick ending write up ("Frank and Roxy would always be remembered and shit.") Otherwise it was a very good and 'smart' film that although over exaggerates a bit, gets the point across.

I am surprised it had the amount of depth it did have. Probably should have posted in film sub-thread also.
Figured if there was a thread about it I mind as well bump it.
This is on netflix and it's a pretty fun movie to watch, it gets preachy at times and a bit annoying with its constant throwing around of the American idol guy, but that's the point I guess.
The American idol guy is the example of what they mean though.
