do you know what the word "art" means? games are a medium of art and he has been very vocal and open about how devastating losing his mother was, and how much of an effect her death has had on him both as a person and an artist. this is no different from someone writing a biography or song in memory of the person (which he has already done)

And that's when the anti-Kanye West shit goes way too far. I don't believe that he's a bad person, I'm just not that into his music and don't really understand the hype around it. Why anyone would feel compelled to say that Kanye is just trying to cash in on his [I]mom dying[/I] is ridiculous. Kanye is a kinda odd but very very cool person (even cooler to look at from the point of psychology), he is definitely the kind of person that cares 400% about everything and anything he creates (ex. going to china for a month to oversee production of his shoes, showing up at shoe stores in NY and Cali to meet fans that came to pick up their pair, directing and appearing in his fashion shows) His secret to success has literally been believing in his ability to do and he knows that the only way to "do" is to care about what you are doing and make sure that it is done right.
I do think though that he deals with some major depression over the loss of his mother, the game being kind of an outlet and or a way to help put his mind at ease.

i mean based on the trailer, the art & animation for it are pretty dope, i'm sure his approach to storytelling would be interesting too, and there's a lot to speculate about the gameplay itself.
maybe i'm being overly optimistic but i actually want to see how this turns out.

Not too much, but with the game director being Kanye West, someone who is outside of the industry, can bring a lot of ideas that someone inside would not normally have.
