I think this guy sums up how much the sonic team cares about sonic.
Sonic has always been about the money. That's why they sell the games. It's a company. HURR DURR. But in all honestly, sonic 2006 should have killed the franchise, it would have killed any other.
Sonic fans are amongst the highest concentration of "odd" I've ever seen.
I'm starting to see a pattern here. New Sonic game comes out. Everyone calls it shit, "the worst game ever made", etc. Despite public opinion I buy it anyway when it's on sale for like $10 expecting to be disappointed. It's fucking fun and I have trouble finding what anyone was ever complaining about. Notable exception being Sonic 2006, of course. That was not money well spent. It's getting where I can't take people seriously when they say they hate Sonic games.
Honestly, the only reason I stopped liking sonic was because I saw the abomination that is deviant art sonic fanart.
Same + Sonic 06
They killed sonic worse than facepunch kills jokes by repeating them in lmao pics.

Hear sonic fans say how awesome the game is. play game and its shit and I feel bad.

I mean, I know already that I have lower standards when it comes to gaming than most people. But people were complaining about Sonic 4's physics either not being like the Genesis titles or handling too odd or something like that and I could honestly not tell what the problem was. It worked fine as far as I was concerned. I could go on about the other games but I won't. Sometimes people complain about things that aren't even in the games, leading me to believe that some people just say they hate Sonic because other people do. I'm not a Sonic fan, either, in case anyone was thinking that. I like the games in passing like most others.

There are hundreds I have seen like him on youtube and 2nd I was a sonic fan and I would like to see a good sonic game. I meanas an old fan it just depresses me to see what happened to a good franchise.
"Okay guys, I have an excellent idea for the next Sonic game! Instead of going back to the roots of the first few games, let's add pointless and annoying new characters, broken controls, new features that no one wants, and plaster Sonic all over it! Fans will love it!" [editline]7th April 2011[/editline]
First chris-chan is not the onyl one. It's sad to see that all of its fans are horribly fucked up and annoying.

Maybe it's that I go in with lower expectations and then end up getting a better experience than I expected.
Im sorry but your a fan if your buying sonic games.
I buy a lot of games. Am I a fan of every franchise that's seen my money? [editline]7th April 2011[/editline] Plus you're not even close. I'm a Mega Man fan. :megaman:
You know the money going to buy bad sonic gamwes could have been used to feed people or something instead of allowing them to make more of the same sonic games.
It's useless to talk about Sonic on Facepunch. You get the same kind of bandwagon hate as with Norton products. Yes, Sega is beating a dead horse. But as shown by Colors, Unleashed, and Sonic 4 they are slowly beating it back to life. Those games may have not been perfect, but they all were steps in the right direction. I'm excited to see what'll come in the future.
You know the money going to buy bad sonic gamwes could have been used to feed people or something instead of allowing them to make more of the same sonic games.
Sonic's super speed is powered by the tears of hungry orphans.

I guess it taught them what not to do for future Sonic games then.
Sonic turning into a werewolf was one of the worst things to happen.
The other thing that drives me nuts is how people talk about specific parts of video games are bad without explaining why. Please to elaborate? [editline]8th April 2011[/editline] I thought it was odd too but just another quirk like Mario going into space or Link driving a train.
The thing is why dont they listen to fans? they all want chow (or however you spell it) gardens and stuff that made the games fun but they never put them in.
It's useless to talk about Sonic on Facepunch. You get the same kind of bandwagon hate as with Norton products
Okay this is just personal opinion but I'd much rather have Sonic on my computer than Norton. NORTON :argh:

Not to mention, bad controls and camera.
also it was called a werehog which just hurts the ears.
The thing is why dont they listen to fans? they all want chow (or however you spell it) gardens and stuff that made the games fun but they never put them in.
Actually I agree with you there. I think I put more time into Sonic Adventure 2's Chao Garden than any other part of the game. Now pretty much the only reference we get to that is Omochao, who could probably ruin a franchise all by himself if unchallenged. Still though I don't like the idea of franchises keeping their fans at anything less than arm's length. [editline]8th April 2011[/editline]
Werehog levels were an absolute drag. Not to mention, bad controls and camera.
Yeah they did last for a while. I appreciate that time didn't factor into your final ranking though. Other than that I'd need to play it again to see what you mean about the controls and camera. I don't remember it being bad but that's just me. [editline]8th April 2011[/editline]
also it was called a werehog which just hurts the ears.
I think Yahtzee said something about "were" meaning "man" so it was "man-hog". "Wolfhog" is a slight improvement in my opinion. EDIT: Nevermind just said it out loud it sounds terrible anyway v:v:v
How is it that there were 2 great sonic 3d games, and yet they were absolute ass from there on out?!
How is it that there were 2 great sonic 3d games, and yet they were absolute ass from there on out?!
That's another thing too. Out of all the Sonic games everyone says the Adventure games were the best (or at least the best 3D games) and yet I can't see what's so great about them. They're not bad or anything but really the only spectacular thing that stood out about them for me was the Chao gardens. The rest was either standard-fare Sonic or stuff that looked just as goofy and out-of-place as, say, the Werehog did. All in all good games but you get what I mean?

And yes, I have played all the sonic games up to... 2006 (and the warehog one which I found bad but not as bad as 2006) because my sister was a big fan. That CRUSHED it.
I actually had fun in the adventure games. That's the difference... aside from big the cat who can jump off a cliff and die in a fire.
Oh yeah, I had fun too. I just don't see what necessarily makes them "the good games" while the others are "the bad games". In my opinion pretty much all of the Sonic games have good and bad sides that cause them to balance out at somewhere around "average". Fun to play but nothing to write home about.

The gameplay was fun and there were less creeepy sonic fans at the time. [editline]7th April 2011[/editline] Oh and a great soundtrack
