I felt that adrenaline and I wasn't even there. Holy shit.
It's just a hobby like any other.
I read some story somewhere about a guy who wanted to kill himself to he climbed really high and when he got up there he felt alive or something so he carried on doing it as a hobby
seeing the curvature of the earth from above always trips me out
I read some story somewhere about a guy who wanted to kill himself to he climbed really high and when he got up there he felt alive or something so he carried on doing it as a hobby
What a twist it would be if he were to trip over and fall down after the sudden change of mind.
seeing the curvature of the earth from above always trips me out
That's the lens. You can't actually see the curvature from that height lol. The curvature of Earth doesn't become noticeable until around (atleast) 11000 meters.
Love these videos, too much of a pussy to search for them intentionally though. Keep this shit coming guys. These guys really have a perfect sense of balance. Wish I had that, must be very satisfying to climb something very tall and look from there with absolute confidence in your skills. I myself manage to lose balance on a fucking sidewalk stone :v:
I'm wondering, is this a thing that's popular in Russia? Whenever I see this kind of video pop up, it's usually by some Russian guys IIRC.
no, you have to watch this:
At least they seem to be acting somewhat safe in this one.
has anyone ever died from doing this stuff?
I can feel my chest sinking.
Same here...their luck is gonna run out one of these days and it will be like the least surprising news ever.
How they touch the cold metal with bare hands and feet without getting numb is a mystery. Maybe it's a russian passive.
This isn't bravery, this is being fucking dumb.
How? In that case, many things we do are dumb and we should never do anything remotely dangerous and live in bulletproof glass balls.
How? In that case, many things we do are dumb and we should never do anything remotely dangerous and live in bulletproof glass balls.
Because the shit they do does nothing else other than putting themselves in mortal danger for no reason
Oh my christ......:tinfoil:
Because the shit they do does nothing else other than putting themselves in mortal danger for no reason
It's their choice, same goes for people that climb mountains/cliff scaling, or is that somehow different?
It's their choice, same goes for people that climb mountains/cliff scaling, or is that somehow different?
Mountain climbing and cliff scaling usually involve a safety cable that keeps them from falling to their deaths.
Mountain climbing and cliff scaling usually involve a safety cable that keeps them from falling to their deaths.
a lot more people die from mountain climbing than people in videos like these. Wont help you if an avalanche or rock slide happens. If people want to climb buildings, It's their choice and they probably trained for it. Yeah rate me dumb because I say people can fucking climb buildings if they want, idiots.
a lot more people die from mountain climbing than people in videos like these.
A lot more people go mountain climbing than do this particular vein of daredevilry. It can at least partially be attributed to averages. There are far more automobile accidents than aircraft accidents, but that doesn't also mean that you are safer personally piloting a plane to work than driving a car.
At least they seem to be acting somewhat safe in this one.
Plus, whenever they look down and they can't even see the ground, only clouds / smog, it looks amazing.
Because the shit they do does nothing else other than putting themselves in mortal danger for no reason
The fact that you don't see any reasons doesn't mean there're no. "I just want to do that" is a perfectly valid reason.
Let's just say that my nationality possesses the most extensive potential for experimental behaviors.
Noooooope
Because the shit they do does nothing else other than putting themselves in mortal danger for no reason
Maybe they like the challenge??
Fear of heights are pretty fucking irrational if you think of it. I mean, you walk on the sidewalk. Now imagine yourself 100 meters higher. What's the difference? The possibility of falling, the sensation you get from being way up there, and the constant fear of accidentally tripping. These guys are obviously pretty confident in their skills and I'd say it's no difference to them than being on the sidewalk. Looks to me they've trained body and mind.
Prime candidates for a Darwin Award.
Of all the music tracks to use for this they used the one from Get Him To The Greek https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T21Hnnp0ixs Media tags don't work.
has anyone ever died from doing this stuff?
Of course. There was a traceur guy in Russia who wanted to do a backflip on the edge of the building, he fell off after going too much right.
I don't think I've ever seen a non-russian doing this kinda stuff.
It's their choice, same goes for people that climb mountains/cliff scaling, or is that somehow different?
In other countries the owners of the buildings would probably get sued to hell and back. [editline]13th April 2014[/editline] Looking at suicide rates http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/europe/teens-choosing-death-in-russia/2012/03/01/gIQADrhPwR_story.html I'd say that roofing trend is a result of bad laws(there is no law against this in russia) and the state of russian teens characterized by those suicide rates.
