Plus the Nazis have no real reason anymore to pursue magic since they won the war and also I think it was somewhat implied in Old Blood that the [sp]SS paranormal division was being threatened with disbandment by Deathshead if they failed with their venture in that town as Germany was having much better luck winning the war with advanced technology than with magic and since the paranormal division isn't mentioned at all in TNO.
communists proved to be some of the strongest anti-nazi fighters in the real world too. see: french resistance, greek resistance, yugoslavian resistance. it became a problem post-war when the western allies realized they had to prevent a communist revolution in these countries.
You forgot Vietnam and PRC. I wonder how Asia is doing in Wolf-land.

IIRC there's some newspaper clippings in the Kreisau hideout that mention [sp]the PRC getting steamrolled by the Nazis and turned into a client state alongside Japan, whose empire was all but whittled away until they were confined to their mainland[/sp].
Apparently the Wolfenstein-verse Nazis also turned on Italy and conquered them as well.

Doesn't surprise me. Tbh that is exactly what I think everyone would expect them to do
it really shows how sad it is that anyone even allied with them. No matter what they would have lost, either to their enemies or their own allies.

like fuck hindsight is always 20/20 but that wasn't going to go over well
I completely disagree. Silly, fun technobabble > "spooky magic energies" anyday.
Why can't we have both? The undead levels in RTCW were some of the best and they had really creepy atmosphere, which would offer a breath of fresh air and mix things up.
The nazis uncovering terrible, terrifying horrors is always cool and it's actually very fitting for them. Current Wolf nazis are fun but they lack that twisted curiosity from the older games.

If you want spooky Nazis try The Old Blood, it's pretty good too (though it's a smaller game than TNO overall).
Why would it not work well, it was bloody excellent. Mysticism beats high tech/sci-fi any day imo
But nothing beats Blazko, not even ghosts and spooks and shit. So the Nazis tried something else.
Still didn't beat BJ.
Don't you mean Wolfenstein: Black Sun?
Wait, and I'm being serious, it had a sub-title??

Wolf 3: BJ vs Nazi BJ
BJ still wins every time
I thought you couldn't activate the English version? Or is that only in Germany directly?
AFAIK you can't activate it in Germany, but it definitely works in Austria (and I think Switzerland)
God I hope this has a level were you fight techno Klansmen, that'd be the shit.
Maybe we'll get to see the nazis turning klansmen Grand Dragons into actual metal dragon abominations in a twisted ironical sense...
...and then shoot them dead.

Because in MY dream... I smell a barbecue...
Can't wait, looks awesome!
What's not to like?
"Farcry 5" meets "Man in the High Castle" meets "Doom" gore, with a pinch of monkey IK rigged cat.
What more do you need? :D

This series had gore before Doom 2016 and before Far Cry 5 was even a thing.
I meant in the story.
Every time the Nazis tried something with magic it failed horribly for them. Mostly because of BJ screwing them over.
Oh, right. Well, appears I'm in the minority either way.
Oh well, as long as the gunplay's as great as it is I'll be enjoying it anyhow.
I feel like such an odd one out , the last wolfenstein I played was the 2009 one and I was able to enjoy it despite all the weird changes. But I'm excited to play all these amazing wolfenstein games
Don't you mean Wolfenstein: Black Sun?
Nah, it's clearly Wolfenstein: Teal Edition.

Where is Farcry 5 coming into play?

Honestly I think it got undeserved hate. It was a top tier fps, it still is fun to play.

Wolfenstein : "that man is a spy!"
I think he means Far Cry 5 as in a ragtag group of individuals taking back their land. The land happens to be in America. If not that I dunno, coulda said Homefront if anything.
If Far Cry's gunplay was even half as good as Wolfs, I'd buy the shit out of it.

Farcry 5 plot, because of the urgency to fight the intolerable power, in this case "arian KKKs" trying to embrace the Nazi regime, portrayed at 3:24 and on: "Have you taken any German lessons?".
The trailer is chock full of "Man in the High Castle" vibe... The trailer depicts the events happening after the Nazi/Hitler won the war. Dictatorship regime, external worship (zvastikas, German colors mixed with faint US markings, German producer featuring "America - New Order" in the cinema, etc).
You can, though, see the resistance to power: the mom dragging her son out of the shop, but somewhat complacent with the requirements (she learned to respond in German "danke"). The Blaskowitz wanted poster on the shop wall, right behind the German commandant). Heck, even the shop owner learned German, go figure!
Furthermore, the music playing in the shop, American music, keeps the faint lost feeling of America.
Well, there's your introduction to the resistance, whose leader you'll get to know along the way, cuz it sure ain't Blaskowitz.
Then I saw that preacher's face (modeled after and voiced by actor Christopher Heyerdahl) and I was sold on the whole plot.
And yes, the gore was present in previous iterations of Wolfenstein, no doubt. But the 'taste' for blood is almost like the "Doom" bloodlust. The victims are in the way, blocking the freedom, they need to be wiped clean, to restore the sanity.
As for the cat, just a poor monkey skeleton rig trying to fondle the remote control, 'human' like. Forgettable...
Anyway, I'm not rushing to preorder the game, but I like what it's cooking...

That was also the plot in the first game.
That was also the plot in the first game.
I think that's a plot to a whole lot of games to be honest :v:
