Wolfenstein's plot philosophy is very much in line with John Carmack's old "game and porn plot" principle, at least as much as modern game design allows it.

The MachineGames Wolfensteins are an amalgamation of all the previous Wolfensteins. Caroline Becker persisted despite her death in Wolf09, and some events in RTCW and Wolf3D are referenced while other aspects of the games wouldn't and won't fit in the new storyline at all.

Right, i admittedly forgot about most of 2009 and RTCW and that's probably how they imagined the story would be in the head's of most people. You'll see the recurring characters and remember some of the events and it'll sorta "fit" that way but it's obviously another timeline when you think about it.

The new games have incredible writing for what they are and they're so much more memorable for it, john carmack was so fucking wrong. If it wasn't for TNO's writing and world building i frankly would've found it mediocre, the nazi killing was the least entertaining part of it to me because the gunplay and particularly the gore weren't that amazing.

Well it his her lying next to BJ in that scene, most easily recognizable through the tattoo on her arm, being identical to the one in TNO (albeit in TNO it's on her left arm, and in that scene it's on her right, though maybe that scene is mirrored for whatever reason?).

The problem with The New Order's German version was that it wasn't possible to play it with the original English and German voices, instead everything was German. It completely destroys the atmosphere. It's like that scene in Inglorious Basterds where someone is translating from German to German in the German version.
I've been boycotting G2A for ages now, but they will probably be the only way to get the good version of Wolfenstein in Austria.

I like Wolfeinstein because it's right at the SR2 level where characters, plot, and storyline still feel real enough to matter, but with plenty of whacky and funny lighthearted action.

So the option carries over from TNO, they both get their face burnt by something, then [sp]Fergus gets a limb chopped off and Wyatt gets a drug addiction or something[/sp]
According to one of the developers, Wyatt was popping drugs and experimenting with them for a while, him seeing that cartoon chameleon wasn't an instant reaction.
Also actually adding the chameleon was change they made later in development, originally you just saw he reacting to nothing.
