I have to disagree, I closed the game after like 10-15 minutes. The controls were so stiff for PC. And I found out later Crystal Dynamics didn't even do the PC version, they hired some other company to make it work for PC. And imo they did a pretty shitty job. Just my 5 cents. EDIT: Just to make things clear, I probably would've loved it if they made a better PC version. But like I mentioned, the shitty job they did on it just killed it for me.
I don't even think we played the same game, the controls were perfectly fluid for me, and I played with a keyboard and a mouse. However, there's nothing stopping you from pluggin in a gamepad and enjoy the game, it's a great game.
Where's my zip-line montage?

The fact that I'm not satisfied with the controls - cause let's face it, it's not just this game that has "shitty" controls - makes this game, as well as others, bad. The "standard" shouldn't be that PC ports are shitty. They should spend more time on making sure that everything is working alright so that everyone can enjoy it. Gamepad or not.
I didn't have a problem with the controls. E and F are your actiony/clicky buttons. Mouse to look around, WASD to move, shift to dodge, space to jump. Isn't that like standard I didn't even find the port that bad, I ran the entire game on high whilst livestreaming to my friend so he could make a decision on it. The only complaint I had about the game was one time where I didn't know whether to use E or F in the QTE, but that was because I misread a few times.
The only part I laughed really hard at was the part where she screamed. and the part where she tumbled down the slippery slope. I laughed at that bit, too.

Anyway, if this game has death animations for the same reason as Dead Space, it most likely means it builds on the "horror porn"-principle. The attractive character model and the voice actor's screaming and moaning gives a clear impression of this, but I wouldn't base my statement on it, due to the general opinions shown in this thread. Still, if it really uses the "horror porn"-thing, aren't the wolf attacks technically zoophilia?
there were only a few scenes that the camera angle would be less weird but i didnt notice most of the time the tank top and tight pants is cause old lara had it and so you can climb crawl and do other stuff freely, this isn't really anything new and this lara was less sexualized, the older ones had a giant butt and huge tits this one looks more normal what bothers me how characters this times can survive anything without a problem, lara got thrown around like a dog and beat up a few times and she's like whatever this applies to Farcry3 too, you get shot countless of times and stuff without problem
I always thought things like this were always more consistent in terms of "game realism" because it'd make more sense for her to be able to go through all that in a cutscene, and do about the same in-game. It's really just to stop stupid cutscene deaths like FF7 where if a character dies in a cut scene, it's different from dying in normal battle.
Somewhere there is a fetish for this.
Don't even go there.
Heugh, couldn't watch this let alone play it. Watching her get thrown around like that made me cringe.
One of the many reasons I am not touching this game.

And ports aren't necessarily bad, I agree that games should be ported from PC to other platforms, but from a developer standpoint it's easier and cheaper to do it the other way around and whether we like it or not, making games isn't about the client but mostly about making a profit, some companies can value both things (like Valve), others can't. Nevertheless, compared to most ports out there, this one was remarkably well done, personally I didn't have any issues with it.
She pretty much has a perfect body. Not using the double-d blonde bimbo woman in skimpy clothes is not equal to using "realistic woman physique".
Perfect is subjective
Heugh, couldn't watch this let alone play it. Watching her get thrown around like that made me cringe.
And yet if it was a male character, it's just business as usual, right?
