I kinda liked it.
Deathcore.
No, this is a rare subgenre known as fagcore. Another well known fagcore band is Brokencyde. Or is this pushing it a little?

Although Brokencyde are admittedly a bunch of fags who make shitty music. I think it can actually qualify as bad music, due to use of autotune and other stupid production magic to make it sound how it does, opposed to actual talent.

And we can actually call Brokencyde bad music because not only is it a hybrid of 2 very different music styles, it's a HORRIBLE, and I mean HORRIBLE hybrid.
While I listen to and appreciate a lot of music(name a genre and I probably listen to at least one band from it, except for -core), deathcore is just something I cannot listen to, at least not when they're singing. Also a thread that pretty much turned into a "Post some real metal" is Judas Priestless, how does that happen? Also Megs.
That's your opinion, broooooo. [editline]06:34PM[/editline] BMTH isn't as deathcore as they used to be. Sounds more metalcore nowadays. Pretty good example of sellouts.
Count your blessings was a good album. Suicide Season is very meh for me. They really do seem like sellouts now.
Count your blessings was a good album. Suicide Season is very meh for me. They really do seem like sellouts now.
They ARE sellouts, bro. They were originally deathcore, but completely changed, just to appeal to a larger audience. Unfortunately this change spawned loads of scene kids.
I think the moment they died for me was when i learned oly started his own clothing line. That's not deathcore at all. Thats fucking gay.

I still enjoy both band's music but really just their older stuff, from before they became sellouts.

Concerning BMTH. I like their new stuff a lot better than their old material. They started out as deathcore, but have matured now, in my opinion. It sounds better, heavier, and more original. Their old stuff sounds like scene-kids mimicking death-metal without even getting near whatever they were trying to be. I don't get why people bash BMTH's new music, I think it sounds awesome. Don't get me wrong, I strongly dislike scene-kids - and unfortunately some bands attract masses of them (Oli Sykes being the obvious reason in this particular example).

A Matter of Life and Death by Iron Maiden was an absolutely amazing album. I swear the first time I listened it through it was genuinely the best music I had ever heard. Although it didn't keep the same afterwards, it was still great.

They're two completly different styles, and BTBAM actually has clean vocals.

It's just at a lower pitch. the instrumentals of the second video are far better, however, it's not just blasting continuously vocals (besides the quiet sustained tones parts) seem pretty much exactly the same, and are what turns me off from most metal
Eluveitie are awesome pagan metal
Pagan metal is not a real genre stop that [editline]04:30PM[/editline] Eluveitie is melodeath with folk influences

I don't know why you would think these two even remotely similar, besides them both being harsh vocals, because they really don't sound similar at all.
Some good death metal for you folks And How could someone forget Iron Maiden
Pagan metal is not a real genre stop that [editline]04:30PM[/editline] Eluveitie is melodeath with folk influences
A lot of folk influences :v: And how is it not a real genre? I've heard the term used plenty times to describe bands. Surely it doesn't need to be confirmed by some high up people or whatever to become a genre?

Sounds completely different to death metal.

so It's still a genre
That's melodic death metal, silly. Sounds completely different to death metal.
It still kicks ass
It still kicks ass
True that. Also why has such a shitty thread with a shitty OP managed to last so long? Amazing.
Because it's pretty off topic and we're just discussing death metal genres
