Tofu is quite nice i like it, with spicy sauce its good too. Either way eating animals ins't wrong only when they are bred in harsh conditions i understand that they are animals with feeling too but we are responsible for their survival so aslong as they keep providing for us we provide for them.

That's quite possibly the worst put together post I've ever seen.
Okay guys, please lisen.
I have nothing against you, eat meat if you want to.
It's just that i was a bit pissed off how this guy was making fun of the vegatarians.
Okay? I hope you understand.
AKA
I can't debate against you guys with my points bye!
Ugh.
I like Atheist, I really do.
And I accept his point of view and he has every right to have it. And I don't have a problem with meat eating or eaters, really, I just have my own moral objections to how we obtain it now.
But...
His main argument is that if we don't eat animals, then they will become extinct- it's the human consumption that causes the demand to produce them, and therefore because they are mass produced they are succeeding in the meaning of life. These animals have no natural habitat and their only ability to exist is to be produced by humans.
Here's my problem:
I don't see how living short, painful lives and going through suffering by the hands of slaughterhouses and production plants is accomplishing the goal of the selfish gene theory. I mean, yea, they reproduce, but is it morally acceptable to force them to reproduce only to torture and kill them? I mean, the whole theory, if applicable to humans (and I understand humans are not on the same level as humans), would go like it's ok to breed Jews so that we an have a steady supply to force into labor and gas. Living to die is not in any way accomplishing selfish gene or the meaning of life. The human intervention fucks with their genes so much that gene passage is basically non applicable and doesn't do shit.
Second, the argument that they would have no habitat and would dive to extinction is wrong- we don't eat dogs, or cats, or parakeets or iguanas, etc, but they survive because there is a demand for them as non-food products, which is a far better status than a food animal, as they almost always live a better life. Following that, chickens, cows, and pigs would likely thrive in the same way that pigeons and stray dogs do in our cities and would survive fruitfully in our breadbaskets, as long as they weren't hunted to extinction. I kind of agree with him on this whole issue, though, I can't really see herds of wild cows running about but still...
Thirdly, just because there's demand doesn't mean anything. Ivory has been in demand for a long while, but no one's gone out and mass produced elephants (not that they can legally anymore). Elephants are endangered because of the demand, not thriving.
Iunno, like I said, I on't have a problem with meat eating, i have a problem with how we obtain it and the methods we use. So I guess I'm not really opposed to anything he said, I'm just pointing out some issues I had.
I'm against animal rights but I'm a vegetarian also. I don't eat meat/fish/eggs because I don't like the taste.
TheAmazingAtheist is a stupid bandwagoning lardass who tries to look smart but fails at it.
I've always said this:
Why does it matter? We are all animals. Animals eat each other and it's part of a healthy life cycle. Is what we do to animals in a slaughter house really that much different than what goes on in the wild?
Why does it matter? Because we are humans and we make our own morals, that is what makes us different than animals.
The only vegetarians I respect are the ones who have no choice because they are either allergic to most meats or their bodies cannot handle meat and or large amounts of protein.
The ones who do fail are "YOU ARE A MONSTER MEAT EATER AND THAT MEANS YOU'RE DUMB AND STUPID GO DIE" type of people.
I don't really mind if they don't like meat.
I always say you can never be a true vegetarian.
Think of the poor plants :(

There are hardcore vegans, those who don't even drive into towns with the word "Ham" in them.

So anyone who is a vegetarian for any other reason than not liking the taste are automatically the "YOU ARE A MONSTER MEAT EATER AND THAT MEANS YOU'RE DUMB AND STUPID GO DIE" type?
What do you think of the people who are neither/both of these things you list?
[editline]16th October 2010[/editline]
What I hate about videos like this is though:
AmazingAthiest makes this video stating his opinions and mocking the easily offended veggies by eating that massive burger thing as if he expects it to offend them (and by which I mean, the fact that he thinks it's offensive is offensive, his eating it isn't offensive in itself). Everyone cheers and loves him saying "yeah lol those dumb vegetarians".
But if a vegetarian makes an equivalent of this video but with the opposite point of view, all of a sudden they're an activist and a member of PETA who should die.

I'm sorry for not being clear earlier, this is what I've meant:
The vegans who are call you a moron and attack you for eating meat do "fail".
The vegans who don't attack people for eating meat are fine with me.
I've never really thought about that, but he makes a good point. The only reason certain populations of species are so large is because we profit off of them.

Are they allowed pets called HAMsters?
Are they allowed pets called HAMsters?
I would think people that hardcore would think it's cruel to keep pets.
He's complaining about vegetarians but he drives a Prius?

Disliking vegetarians means he can't care about the environment?
I'm vegan, this sort of thing shouldn't make you mad at all. The guy seems like a douchebag; The type of person who will voice his opinion no matter what.
I don't think douchebag describes him correctly.

No
Just people with that sort of viewpoint aren't the ones that I picture driving a Prius.

It's not offensive but its annoying when they think it's offensive and continue to do it.
This guy loves to fuck with people who like to do things in a unique way.
This fat ass would love to become a vegan so he can loose some weight. Funny thou he would not survive and pass his genomes cause he is fat and unfit. What a hypocrite!
Meaning of life and being successful at life is to pass your own genomes? Well, I rather be a free Lion than being a pig who is gonna get chopped and served.
BTW, I eat meat but I do not bitch at people who do not eat it.

Oh you. And he has a GF, so nothing to worry about his genes.
And being a vegan to lose weight is quite a retarded thing to do, almost as retarded as doing it for "morals"

He is most likely lying about his "Gf."
He would be better of being a vegan than eating fat ass burgers everyday.
Thanks for being a tool and showing your little tolerance for people who have different religion than you.

Yeah he's actually not lying, and he doesn't really care about being fat.

Well, should I start insulting fat people? Honestly man I don't care if you are atheist or if you worship a cow. Just don't start picking on people for what they think is right.

He's not, he's simply giving his opinion on why vegetarianism is stupid. It's not like he's threatening to kill a bunch of vegetarians if they don't convert.
Same goes for all his theist/conservative rants, he's simply giving his opinion on why he thinks those ideals are stupid.

Why would not eating meat be a stupid ideal? Funny thing is everyone is supporting him for his opinions, but I would understand if he was bitching at PETA or something, but a normal vegan? He than does some epic eating of some heart attack on a plate to just rub it in.
You can make up the rest.
