Is it weird that I just looked this game up literally a day ago because I played it as a kid all the time and I wondered what happened to it. I should really replay this if I can find my gamecube
Wait was this the Simpsons version of Crazy Taxi? Or was that a different game?
Wait was this the Simpsons version of Crazy Taxi? Or was that a different game?
That's The Simpson's: Road Rage.
Wait was this the Simpsons version of Crazy Taxi? Or was that a different game?
Road Rage was the Crazy Taxi ripoff. It ripped it off so much that Sega sued (which I can understand, because they were almost dead at the time)
I need to find a copy of this so bad, I just have no idea where to find it.
Christ this game was good. Especialy for a TV show/cartoon game, which is kind of unexpected. I remember that honking cheat that sent your car flying up. This cheat + that ultra fast F1 + a good launching ramp would usualy equal you getting sent off the map. I spent so much time trying to break this game. Good ol' times.
Whats even nice is the mods made for it like Donut Mod Unfortunately, Apu has been removed from being playable since they felt his part in the story was under-developed There are more cards to collect & more wasps to kill (With new vehicles & new levels + missions) http://donutteam.com/ That gives me quite an incentive to play it again
i'm glad i'm not the only one who used to watch the balloon shop
Man I remember this game. I launched Ralph sky-high.
I remember i couldnt finish this game. I wonder if i should return back to it :v:
I've been stuck on the very last mission since this game came out Fuck that nuclear waste, fuck it
I loved how you could still try to drive completely blown up cars in that game.
I remember in the days before I played GTA or many other free roaming racing games such as Midnight Club or Burnout Paradise, I thought the Downtown hub in the Bart and Apu sections was the most amazing thing. It was like: WHOA. They have roads OVER OTHER ROADS. THIS IS THE FUTURE.
The best vehicle hands down was the hover bike you got in the last world. It was so ludicrously fast you could not control it and it was fragile as a mother fucker
This game was the shit. I was stupid for giving this to my school friend, because I never got it back. I was able to finish the last mission after like 100 times of trying every day :v:

I bought [sp]Driv3r[/sp] and played that because it was like GTA I actually enjoyed it too.
I thought the final mission was easy, but I also played it on PC with a high frame rate.
I never finished Hit and Run because the Halloween level had spiders in it and it scared me :v:
The range of vehicles was the best part of this game, even having stupid shit like the rocket car and the monorail.
I never finished Hit and Run because the Halloween level had spiders in it and it scared me :v:
Oh god you just reminded me. Hit & Run had these holiday easter eggs where the main menu changes depending on what day it is (according to your console's clock). So for example on Halloween it takes on a spooky theme while on Christmas it takes on a Christmas theme.
So did Road Rage, on certain days of the year you had special thanksgiving cars or christmas cars, shit was awesome.
I remember playing this and loving it but it was so frustratingly hard for some reason
I loved the game so much that I had to play it all over again twice because the disk was rental & it was so scratched that at the final sequence the game would freeze and corrupt my save. It happened the second time too. Never was able to finish it. D-;)
I remember being really inventive with some missions. I would park my car at the destination and run all the way to the start of the mission and then run all the way back when it says "get in your vehicle" and instantly win the mission. :v:

I won that race.
I remember the last mission on level 1, you could push carl beyond where the barrier would spawn in the power plant, then when you talked to him and started the race you'd spawn behind the barrier and could get to the finish really quick.
I remember using a fun bug with the nuclear waste missions, if you picked it up with one of the traffic cars, then all of the traffic using the same car would have the nuclear waste on the back, so if you crashed and lost the waste you could just steal a traffic car that still has a waste barrel.

EDIT: How the fuck did I not realize this thread was 2 days old?

And why doesn't he use the fire truck ladder shortcut? It's basically one of the first you get to know in the game.
Manoeuvring cars quickly in Hit and Run was difficult, but then there's... this fucking thing
