haha what, fuck ticks. my gf has suffered from lyme disease all fuckin year, I'd inject them all with hydrogen peroxide if I could :v
i don't think there's any place in the world where lice are a big enough problem to justify the existence of wasps
If you had a garden you'd not say this.
Ha. You should have seen what I did last night.
Fucking cricket was chirping away over the oven, and it was in a little notch so I couldn't vacuum him up. So I did the next most logical thing.
I put several pots of boiling water under his ass so that he'll either be a) cooked alive by the sheer amount of steam bombarding him, b) fall into the water and be boiled alive, or c) fall onto one of the active stove burners and be burnt to a crisp.
Isn't the kind of thing that serial killers usually do on the lead up to them becoming serial killers?
I'm sure half of the people saying this is cruel would have no problem setting a spider on fire with a lighter.
I never kill spiders, always catch them in a glass and let them out.
Here's some more tick brutality for you all. :v:

Jesus that's a lot of blood. Also extremely unfitting music.

Now that's what I opened this thread for.
I wonder what would happen if all these pro-tick people got a tick in their hair or something. Would they gently take it off then place it outside to promptly jump on their pets?
Only on facepunch will people have a discussion of tick's rights and what constitutes as tick cruelty.
You guys so crazy.
Ticks are horrible though, I wouldn't even bother messing with them just with the off chance that it may attach itself to me and begin draining my soul.
If you leave wasps alone they'll leave you alone.
Absolute lies. Wasps excel in being evil bastards.
I'm all itchy now.
Thanks a lot.

These "pro-tick" people are simply arguing that it's wrong to advocate these sort of things against animals in general. Yes, it is wrong, but it feels so right because it's happening to a creature that's universally hated by people everywhere. If this happened to maybe a mouse or a butterfly, then nobody would be happy about this at all.
Deserves it. I've only had a tick on me once and it was the worst bug bite I've ever felt. Ripping it off was a terrible feeling.
I've got a gigantic backyard that I have to go into every year during the summer and I have to cut down all the weeds that are growing. I use a 4-cycle engine, mostly because they get to be half my height to twice my size. I've had so many ticks get on me, it's not even remotely funny anymore. Ticks are bastards.
Ever heard of Lyme Disease? Nasty shit, and ticks carry it. They're the tapeworm of the arachnid world.
"what the fuck guys, why would you torture a poor little tick like that"
"holy FUCK is that a spider? I WILL BURN IT WITH A TORCH"

"its bad to get so much enjoyment out of killing an animal like that."
meanwhile on lmao pics, a spider was posted and for the next page everyone is posting pictures of burning houses saying "ITS THE ONLY WAY TO BE SURE LOL"

i literally don't get this
it's a tick, a parasite, it doesn't feel pain nor is it conscious, it's only purpose is to feed and make more of themselves
it's only purpose is to feed on you
Oh so that's what Sarah Connor was threatening to inject the doctor with in Terminator 2.

man killing bugs is fun though
Always enjoyed doing it since a kid I once captured a praying mantis and created an arena where I would catch flies and take off their wings and put them in the arena for the mantis to get them
was a pretty legit bug coliseum.
I've picked way too many ticks off of my pets and myself to care about them. Hell, they even crawl back up out of the sink sometimes after family members think they've gotten them.
It's never enough though, there's no such thing as overkill. If the water isn't steaming, they might come back. Watch your ass.

This is why we need video games.
When I was a kid, I caught a housefly with a glass. I then put a coaster under it and carried it to the microwave, where I microwaved it just to see what would happen.
I've never seen an insect move that fast. For three short seconds he became superfly.
Then he became smoke.
Ticks spread a paralyzing disease so we can't afford sympathy for them.
I feel terrible for killing mosquitos and ants :v:

I think exploding is basically one of the fastest ways of dying. Think about if literally every part of your insides started producing massive amount of O2 - you'd be dead in less than half a second.
"I find you people not feeling empathy for this tick to be... aah motherfucking FLY!"
*SLAP*
"All right, that bastards done for. Anyway, poor tick yadda yadda"
I don't kill spiders or moths or butterflys.
But I'm a fucking tyrant when it comes to carpenter ants, ticks, and flies. When I was little I would put ants in the candles and they would burn, I would smash their little dirt ant holes, I would cut ticks in half, I would spray flies with aerosols and take them right out of the sky. I would also hold ant beheadings. Infact I still do hold ant beheadings when I find one.
I'm a fucking asshole..
I'm one of those people who legitimately feels bad after accidentally stepping on ants. I'm also one of those people deathly afraid of large spiders. But if there's one thing I would gladly exterminate, it'd be ticks.
Also, if we're sharing bug stories, back when I was six, my dad found a wasp nest and decided to remove it and place it on a table outside. But back then, I hadn't ever even heard about wasps before, or what they could do. Cue me systematically drowning each and every individual larva with a water pistol over the span of a few weeks.
Years on, wasps keep landing on my hand and staring at me funny, but I've never been stung once.
i.e: I led a coup d'état against the wasps and became the local wasplord.

I played video games as well

why is everyone missing the point so badly? it's not the fact they killed a tick, ticks are pests and need to be gotten rid of for health reasons. it's the fact they killed it for the fun of killing it, which is unnecessary and something that emotionally undeveloped kids do. if they had an actual infestation they wouldn't try to get rid of them by individually injecting them with chemicals...
