If i was acting in this show i'd make them change it or refuse to do my lines.
And then.... New shocking episode on NCIS: THE DEATH OF MCGEE!
Anyone else catch the "Are they working on the new IEEE protocol?" Usually IEEE protocols are made after the technology is in the market and it becomes popular, then they write provisions for future technology to adhere to so everything works with one another. They don't sit at a desk and tinker away. (Well, to be fair they sit at a desk to type up the documentation).
Surprisingly, that wasn't all that bad. At least it wasn't "The cake is a lie" or "all ur base" or something like that. And at least it wasn't this:
I cringed so hard it made a black hole help me I've only got seconds lef-
I cringed so hard it made a black hole help me I've only got seconds lef-
I see you are taking comedy lessons from the same place as the writers from this show
I actually smiled, since they actually used it coherently rather than just throwing it in. Plus the aforementioned fact that it takes a while to get from the writing process to the release and such.
Wasn't too bad. Fitted the context, although the entire conversation was a bit contrived (seems like they just wanted to mention Skyrim and TOR for nerd cred). I didn't cringe. Also, NCIS and CSI are written for the masses. Don't expect your bleeding edge memes to appear on a tv show.
I was expecting a lot worse. It was unnecessary, but it wasn't the worst they've done. Techno babble is absolutely infuriating.

oh man the PoP video got me cringing god why don't they just do some research...
This aired yesterday, it was probably written/filmed back when the internet was starting to over use it.
It was never funny though. Besides, half the people who watch this show won't even get the joke.
:v:
Who cares? I doubt anyone who watches this even knows what VB is
Who cares? I doubt anyone who watches this even knows what VB is
I wish people could spell retarded (actually, I wish people wouldn't use the word. Don't care so much about swearing).
Meh can't give a fuck anymore now that memes are on facebook.
People wonder why i don't watch television today and only older TV Shows. This is why.
People wonder why i don't watch television today and only older TV Shows. This is why.
A subtle (over used, sure) meme placed into dialogue? That's the main reason you don't watch today's TV shows? Jesus christ
Didn't cringe as much as I'd think.
A subtle (over used, sure) meme placed into dialogue? That's the main reason you don't watch today's TV shows? Jesus christ
If something is overused, it's not subtle.
If something is overused, it's not subtle.
No, something that's been overused can be used subtly, it's just nobody will notice the subtlety because they're too busy raging over seeing it.
Wasn't as bad as I expected to be quite honest.
The NCIS reference in the most recent context seems contrived and silly but I'm sure, as has been mentioned, when it was written it would have come off as a funny bit of wit. Personally I felt it fit McGee being smart with some uppity ass implying he's a no-lifer. The CSI clip on the other hand! O christ, every time I hear that a little part of my wilts in shame and pity at the show. The enhance jokes are funny, but the writers being that unwilling to research some believable material AT ALL for that scene just get's pity. Or winners if they were trolling their audience/ actors :v:
Wasn't that bad, he seemed to say it like a sarcastic joke that was meant to go over the other guys head.
holy shit that was almost as bad as double hacking
I wish I could make a Deus Ex: Human Revolution reference and punch that guy in the face.
I don't get the upset over whenever CSI or NCIS does something like this, big deal they threw a meme or some technobabble in, they're not documentaries they're drama shows.
Uh, that scientist guy mentions Skyrim first and McGee is known to be a character who plays video games and stuff, so it's just his sarcastic response to him asking about it. It's not out of place at all and seems like something someone who plays Skyrim would say as a joke.
why was skyrim even mentioned. it didn't need to be. what kind of loser old man would do that. the way he said old republic and skyrim was so forced. it was pointless and shit
ALL OF YOU FORGOTTEN THIS ONE
The guy did a good job taking away the computer from those idiot brains. Thanks, guy.
